Description:

This series is KarlaKC's suggestion and will replace the "Getting to Know You" series we used to do.

Send your partner a notecard with a note written inside it to say "Hello". Please write more than 2 or 3 sentences. Write as if you're spending time with a friend, just a friendly little note.

Then, before sealing, include a small and fairly flat enclosure of your choice.

The card you write in may be purchased, altered or handmade, and may be a notecard or a correspondence card.

The enclosure should not be handmade unless your partner clearly states in their profile that they appreciate HM items of the type you are thinking of sending. Please do not send something they have no interest in or use for.

Ideas for small and flat enclosures:

  • blank notecard with envelope (this is always acceptable in this group and do not feel you have to send something else if this is what you want to send every time)
  • postalette
  • letter set (2 sheest and matching envelope)
  • HM envelopes
  • full sticker sheet
  • HM stickers
  • ATC
  • inchie
  • twinchie
  • paper ornament
  • embellishments, e.g., stick-on gems or flowers
  • embroidery thread
  • tea (not loose)
  • blank postcard
  • swap cards
  • return address labels
  • blank address labels
  • unused stamps
  • tag
  • bookmark

Have fun!
