Welcome to the Goddess Doll Swap! This swap is for one art/Goddess doll to one partner. There are as many ways to make these dolls as there are artists to create them.Since this is the first one I won't set a theme, but I will give some guidelines as follows. Your doll needs to be 3D, so nothing flat like paper or cardboard. Your doll should measure 3-6 inches tall, she may be taller but keep in mind that you will probably be receiving a smaller doll. Your doll should have a face, although the features of eyes, nose and mouth are not required - some Goddess dolls are done with blank faces or objects that represent a face without the features drawn in such as, carbons, round mirrors, flat stones etc. Many dolls are made from fabric then beaded or embellished in a variety of ways, however this swap does not require that your doll be made from fabric. Many very successful dolls are made from clay, knit/crochet, found or altered objects including fashion dolls. Items from nature can also be worked into Goddess dolls including embellished sticks, stones/crystals, driftwood, gourds, and bark etc. Since this is a group swap I won't post specific ratings in order to participate, however I will check the profiles to make sure everyone is in good standing before I assign partners. If there are issues with no sends I will make sure that everyone receives a doll.

The send by date is the day after the last sign up date. Could we have a bit more time, please in case we can't get to the post office on that very day? Watching for now.

Is the goddess sender's choice, or should we indicate choice of goddess?

I am hoping it's sender choice, as I already started. I will of course check my partner's profile to make sure it is okay colorwise, but if it is partner specific or a request, I will need to drop.

opps, I didn't realize that there were questions here. I'm so sorry. Yes the doll is senders choice... and the send date is 30 days after the assign partners date... april 29th and may 30th I am going to copy paste this response to each of you in message in case you don't check back here in time to get your questions answered... Hi alysowl, I just checked the place where I got my favorite pattern from kivett-patterns but it doesn't have the free downloadable patterns anymore. It looks like you have to join her yahoo group and get them from the files section of that group. I do have patterns for some in a file on my computer. I do believe I could send them as attachments to an email if you would like me to do that, please let me know. I'll try to remember to check this discussion more carefully. I keep forgetting it's here. I'm so sorry it's been 3 days without my answering your question.

Link to basic shape above is not Ronda's, it is from Enchanted Gallery and is a paper doll template but could easily become a fabric template.
