Description:

I have just received 200 hearts for my swaps (Yay!) and thought it would be fun to spread some happy hearts around with my first swap as host!

For this swap you will have 1 partner, and for that partner you will create one piece of mail art or handmade postcard featuring. . . HEARTS!

Here are the requirements:

Your mail art may be in the form of an envelope or a postcard. If you choose to create envelope mail art please include inside the envie a card, note, or some kind of flat surprise to your partner.

You can use any medium and style -i.e. (painting, drawing, stamping, collage, mixed media, etc.) as long as the majority of your mail art Is decorated with hearts.

Must be stamped with real postage stamps instead of printed codes from a printer or the post office (this adds to the beauty!)

Participants must have a cumulative 4.9 rating. Newbies welcome with a very well-filled-out profile.

Try to make something that will make you happy to receive. If you sign up, you commit to the swap- no flaking!

Love it and already got mine ready as soon as I get a partner... lol

Im almost finished making mine already....this is my first mail art project though. I was worried about it getting caught in the machines at the post office.Has any one had any problems with that?

@valentine69 Here in Canada we can have things manually stamped. All you need do is ask at the wicket and you get a cool yellow sheet which says "Manual Sort Mail - do not machine process" . That pretty much ensures it'll not get ground up in the eatng-machines at the post office! Hope this helps!

mine is ready to send, and can we add, not exclusevely and not even 30% stickers?

Deeno1105 04/30/2013 #

@Susi .......are you talking about the forever stamps that are round and have the world scenery on it? If so, those are for any International mail up to 1 oz. not just post cards. Didn't know if you knew that.

Question If we make a post card, does it go inside an envie with the flat surprise or do we write on it and send without a surprise?

JenDT 04/30/2013 #

@Deeno1105 ...If you make a postcard, send it naked (without an envelope). If you decide to decorate an envelope, add a small surprise. Hope this helps.

Thanks to everyone for taking my swap to the Top 5! So exciting!

My post office could not guarantee that my art envie would not go through the machines, so I added my regular stamps had them post mark it before I put it in another envie to send. They also put huge stickers on them for international customs which would have covered about half of my art envie : ( any way ! I let the person receiving my swap know about it and hope she is surprised when she sees the actual art! I had a lot of fun doing this swap.....
