Here we go again, folks! Old Box Postcard #3 It seems that almost everything comes in a cardboard box these days (food items, office supplies, household kits, old record sleeves, etc.). Why not put those boxes to good use before recycling the rest? Taken out of context, some of the box images can be pretty cool. Get creative and see what kind of fun and funky postcards you can make out of that cereal box (for example). Try and stick with thin cardboard boxes rather than thick (for example, packing boxes are probably too thick and more costly and bulky to send than a cereal box) and cut them to the standard 4 x 6 postcard shape. If you wish, let your partner know what the postcard used to be (especially if it is not obvious) and have fun! For this swap you will be asked to send 1 postcard to 5 different people. This swap is open to international swappers. If this swap continues to be a hit I will make it a monthly event. Happy swapping!

This is a great idea! I've been using boxes for hand-made postcards for ages, but I never thought that the box-artwork itself could be the image... yay!

Thank you Pam in Oregon for the beverage card! I have a beverage postcard collection. We are getting tons of rain and winds right now, but nothing like you have out there.

Thank you, too, to Debbie in Maryland for the cool Mac flyer recycle. I love Apple stores, though there is on Genius in our local store who is mean, mean, mean and I won't go to him anymore.

Late, but sent my 5 cards off today. I mistakenly sent one to Australia with our postcard rate stamp on it, so it will probably come back to me asking for more postage. So Jade, it's coming, but it might be delayed! Others going out here in the USA were to Christy, Jackie, Sandy and Diana. Enjoy! I had fun!

I just received a card from Zmrzlina today! Loved it! Learning to eat better is something many of us could learn to do, so thank you for the reminder! Loved the "place setting"! I also noticed that lovely BUTTERFLY stamp you used in your postage! That's an older stamp! And the 1c Tiffany lamp stamp is one of my favorite, too!
