Description:

Make one handmade greeting card with a stamped image/design to send to one swap partner with one included unused/brand new mini stamp or mini stamp set.

The small clear G stamps or mini stamps found at the $1 bins at the major retail craft stores are perfect. I recommend the clear small flat stamps so you can send it inside your card. Please, no stickers, use a stamped image of something on the front of your card. No theme or specific image or size requirements for your card, anything goes on the card. *Images are best if stamped with permanent ink (StazOn).

Each partner may write a message in their handmade card to each other.

This is within the lower 48 of the U.S. to keep our postage low.

Newbies are welcome to join. . . as long as you feel creatively confident to make a very nice handmade card, have an established profile, and have completed all your swaps in the past. Yes, I will be checking profiles before the swap and remove those that don't meet the good standing requirement or who don't have a completed profile.

Can you use a premade card form or does the card have to be made of cardstock by the sender?

kisscut91 02/15/2013 #

are other materials allowed?

Thanks for the questions-

A pre-made card is fine, but please add layers (at least one) on top. I often start with those white card stock cards that come in packs that are pre-folded with envelopes. Those are perfectly fine.

Kisscut91 - "other materials" I would probably need some specifics? It does need to have a stamped image somewhere on the front though. Additional embellishments, ribbon, gems, pearls are fine to add. You may want to add a flat piece of folded card stock paper to the inside front of your card when mailing to protect it from getting damaged in transit if it has 3-D elements. And remember you will pay more in shipping, as these kinds of mailings can not go through their standard USPS postal machines.

Hey Everyone- I've extended the swap date on this - mostly because some of us in the Midwest are still under a foot of snow (with new storms and more snow possible coming forecasted this week) and some may need more time to get this in the mail!

Keep this in mind and note the new swap date deadline when rating your swap partners!
