Kawaii Matchbox Swap! :)

If you need some ideas, there are a lot of things that can fit into a matchbox! Cellphone charms, button pins, magnets, bracelets, hair clips, friendship pins, sack stickers, tea bags, clipped stickers, a small sack of glitter, a ring, fake tattoos, etc.

If you don't have any matchboxes, feel free to make your own! :D Either out of recycled cardboard

This was inspired by Matchbox Fill Swap, but hopefully we can amp it up even more! :D

Kawaii Matchbox Swap is an international trade, but it's only a matchbox in a regular envelope. Which means shipping anywhere will most likely be under a dollar. Unless you somehow fill the matchbox with a load of concrete... O.o

Please be sure to list what type of cute stuff you like. & maybe even a few things you don't. ^_^

ie: Things I love: funny cute Japanese stuff, like whip-chan, the fireman bunny, kawaii little guys getting into trouble. I also love pretty & hip styles, like Baby Jam. ;)

Things I love, but don't need any more of: erasers, Sanrio goods, makeup stuff

Things I just don't like: Diddl. Sorry. ;(

yup! swap-bot does all the matching & alert work. is that okay? shipping should be relatively inexpensive [say, under a dollar], since it fits into a letter size envelope & is only a little thick.

How much stuff should we try to get in there? I dont want my person to feel like they're getting ripped off or something :/

I was thinking about that myself. :/ I really don't want anyone to feel jipped. I know someone's going to stick an eraser or a piece of candy in there & think that's all they have to do! LOL

Do you think there should be a guide rule to what to put in? Like this:

Maximum of ONE handmade item. [Excluding things like envelopes & the box itself]

Minimum of 2 purchased items.

NO edibles within the box. But if you're feeling generous, feel free to add extras like candy outside of the matchbox.

What do you guys think? Any input?

I don't think you can make a lot of rules here. The box is so tiny that the possibilities are limited. But maybe you could make it a rule that it's not allowed to put just one or two items in the box?

it's funny, i didn't feel very limited when i was packing the matchbox. for me it was like, "omg, there's still more space!"

That's true, I was amazed too how much things you can fit in such a small box! But still I think you shouldn't make a lot of rules for this swap :) Oh and I just sent you a message for the password, because I loooove this swap :D

Hi! If you're having trouble finding a matchbox & don't have a printer, a tiny candy box will do. Make an insert box to match, if you're feeling creative. <3 If you decide to add more outside of the matchbox, that's an option, your choice, & a nice personal little touch! <3
