December Birthdays!

(from Illinois) Can we send a few goodies along with the card?

Nice idea, but this will be the choice of the sender. Not everyone is obligated to send extra goodies. I say this in fairness to those of us who have already agreed to this swap. Although, I like this idea and may send a handcrafted something extra myself :) For those who do decide to send extra goodies keep it low cost and simple. I want everyone to enjoy this swap.

I'm so excited about this swap, I rarely get a birthday card anymore. Especially a home-made one!! My birthday is also December 7th. :)

Forgotten:( Yes, that happens to Dec. birthdays, especially so close to Christmas. I hope this swap brings smiles to many faces :)

Mine is Dec 23rd, I never get parties or a Happy birthday because of Christmas :( It would be nice to get a birthday card instead of a Christmas card with a... "oh yeah and happy birthday."

I always tell people that if they give me a birthday gift in Xmas wrap, then it's not a birthday gift :)

lol that is so true, its a bittersweet thing to be born in december. ive given up on trying to get a birthday party cause its just impossible...mine's in the 29. december girls are the best though!!!!

I guess I am lucky - my mother has always had a separate celebration and gifts for my birthday (Dec. 27)- and I am going on 54!

hi, what a great idea, as my birthday is on christmas, i always have to ask friends to find me a card that has nothing to do with the holidays, and if they like ...even forget about a christmas card for me, i am always so happy when someone finds me a birthday card & it has no holiday theme:) looking forward to this swap for sure!

this is a really rockin' idea! my birthday is december 24th, (i'll be 25) my family typically gives me christmas cards signed happy birthday & forget about my friends ever having a party for me or taking me out! they're too wrapped up (funny pun) in christmas for their own family.. i always swore if i ever met anyone else born in december, i'd make a point to celebrate their birthday as i always wished to have! psst.. i'm a newbie & this is one of the first to really catch my eye.. i've actually been making homemade cards lately, so this is right up my alley > can i break my swap-bot virginity here? hah

Just a friendly reminder... For those who are mailing to another country, please try and send your b-day card as soon as possible. The goal for this swap is for the person to receive their card in the Month of December :)

This is one of 3 swaps I got out in the mail today(nov 29) and what do I get for it? My truck dies in front of the PO and I have to walk back home in the cold pouring rain!! At least the swaps went out!!

Kicking myself for not taking a pic before sending the card out! A quick run of how the card was made: Ironed fusible webbing on cardstock, layed down random strips of irridescent cellophane and crushed panne fabric, fused. Then, cut random pieces out of Tyvek(the white mailing envelopes) that was painted in metallics and zapped with a heat gun. Freemotion stitched everything down, cut a window(which conveniently became an ATC!), zig-zagged novelty yarn on the edges and embellished with some sequins. So glad you like it!
