Description:

It's no secret - I love playing with postage stamps when creating ATCs. Time to share the love! ;) This will be the first swap of a regular swap series, if there is interest.

You will have one partner - create TWO ATCs for them. Each ATC must have at least one postage stamp on it.

Theme and medium are up to you. Have fun with the process, but PLEASE send something that you're proud to sign your name to and would love to receive! (No sticker-slapping! If you're going to use stickers, they should not be the main element and should be used tastefully, please.)

ATCs must be the standard size of 2.5″ x 3.5″ and should be relatively sturdy - chipboard, cereal box cardboard, heavy cardstock, whatever.

Be sure to include your info on the back of the card. (Your name, swap-bot username, name of the card if there is one, date, etc. I put my location too, but that bit is optional - I think it's neat to flip through your collection and see how far some of your cards have traveled to get to you!) And of course, don't forget to rate your partner!

I -will- be checking profiles before partners are assigned, and I -will- ban if need be. Min. 4.96 rating. NO unexplained ones or threes. NO overdue swaps on your dashboard. If you're not going to follow through, then leave now, please - we're all here to have fun!

Any questions or concerns, please do PM me. ♥

I love this idea, and would love it if you would do different themes, like bird postage stamps, flower postage stamps, animals, etc.

Marryth 01/13/2013 #

Definitely a good possibility - thanks for the input! :) I'm glad to see interest...I'll definitely keep the series going!

So many different stamps. . . gret idea for continuing swaps with certain types of stamps . . . lighthouses, people, trees, fish, cowboys, women, men, movie stars. . . gads, the list is endless!!!

Tinker60 01/15/2013 #

OOPS. . . great is NOT spelled gret. . . my fingers fly so fast over the keys and sometimes I must not hit the key hard enough ;-)

Marryth 01/15/2013 #

Yeah, I went ahead with SherriB's idea of themes, though I'll be combining it with sender's choice - that is, the postage stamp ATC series will continue with one ATC of x theme and one ATC being sender's choice, so long as it contains a postage stamp of some sort. (Wow, that was a long, ramble-y sentence, even for me!) So it'll always be two ATCs, but only one of the two need be a specific theme. Hope this works for you guys!

I'll try to keep up at least a couple at all times, so you have advance notice of themes. The next two are bird & flower, and are currently up. :)

I just want to make sure that I understand.... You use used stamps for this right? Or, should they be new stamps?

AZmom875 01/25/2013 #

Yes, I think you do used cancelled stamps that up pull off your incoming mail. That is generally what we do. I hope I am right and not speaking out of turn.

Marryth 01/26/2013 #

Nope, you're absolutely right - make use of your cancelled stamps in this series. :)
