Let's create & collect Art Journal Pages in 2013

• Not profile specific. Senders Choice. Let yourself go and have some fun. NO sticker slapping - ACK!!! Create the pages that you would love to receive!

Page 1 prompt: Bird / s

~ Do you like Cardinals? Can you draw an Owl? Photos of birds you would like to make into a collage! Paint a row of finches sitting on a fence wire! Whimsical looking birds!

Page 2 Prompt: Favourite Poem

~ Have you got a favourite poem? Do you write your own poetry? Do you enjoy the poems by Robert Frost? Try an internet search for Poems or Poetry.

• Page base examples: Watercolour paper. Project cardboard. Sturdy cardstock. Manilla file folder card. Recycled card like from a cereal box. You will soon find what works for you.

• TOTAL Art Journal Page base size: 7 inches wide X 5 inches long/deep on very sturdy base.

• TOTAL Art Space size: 6 inches wide X 5 inches long/deep.

• Binding margin: leave a 1 inch wide margin on the LEFT side of the page (no embellishments). The margin is for your swap partners binding pleasures!

• When you make the margin the page must be Landscape (horizontal).

• However you are free to create Portrait (vertical), it just means the binding margin will be at the top of your page.

• Now let’s get creative and Art Up these Pages: paints, inks, pens, stamping, embossing, magazine pieces, page pieces, music pieces, tissue paper, napkins, photo pieces, your own drawing, words, use your own hand-writing, add some stitches from your sewing machine, a nice scrapbook stick-on, ribbon, lace, embellishments, try a new technique ..… your imagination is your only limit.

• As this is an international swap, please make sure that your embellishments are not fragile or add some protection (example – piece of bubble wrap, recycled even) to protect the pretties.

• (Optional) add something nice to the back of each page: more of your art, patterned paper, part of a picture from a calendar. Page from a novel or music book. A note to your partner about your page/s and or what medias/materials you used.

Please! Include your clearly written swap-bot name and the swap title.

Art Journal Page labels for your use if you need them. Copy into a word doc & size it to what you would like.
