FYI for those that are forced to work in ounces: 200 grams is 7.054 ounces. Also be aware that humidity can make fabric heavier or lighter. So if the person you are receiving from is slightly off, you might need to take that into account. I know I will be erring on too much rather than too little!

All the math had me scared but it seems like a standard sandwich sized ziploc bag is 3 ounces. So fill that and maybe add one extra piece and you should be good.

(though I'm a bit uptight about things, so I'll probably dig out my old postal scale to make sure I don't cheat anyone!)

I need to buy a kitchen scale anyway.... Might just make that a priority....

Also @JLVerde those are fluid ounces not dry. I know, American measurements are all effed up.

Don't let grams scare you, they're not that bad :) We used to work in oz and lb here in the UK and some people still flit between metric and imperial. In fact they've only in recent years made it law that market traders, etc display fresh produce in g/kg. I'd be interested to see if one day we will be measuring in cm for quilting rather than inches, I never really understood how big a yard is in my head! I'm definitely a metric girl, sorry :P

Would 100% cotton flannel be alright to send?

I'd check with your partner/s first before sending flannel, some people may be OK, others not

I used the sandwich sized but it was stuffed. I found my postal scale so I know I'm not under filling.

I used my kitchen scale to get to the 200 grams. Ready to post - here they come!!!

Don't worry about the bag size as long as the weight is right, it's just in case it gets soggy in the post. If anyone doesn't know their partners, they are now available, there's a link in the top left corner of the page which will pop up a box with addresses in.
