Hello everyone!

I collect national flags of different countries (I have 4 already) and I always try to find a way to enlarge my collection. (You can see my flags on the picture :) ) So I thought... why not create the flags exchange swap? I'm sure I'm not the only one in the world who is interested in such things :)

Well, here are the rules. You will have 2 partners, and you are to send them 1 flag of your country to each. Size about 20x25 or 13x17 cm is preferable, so it can be put in an envelope (it may be without a stick just a flag itself). But you may choose any size you want! (remember that 10x15 is minimum!!!)

Surely, you may put some extras if you want to, but it's not a must. Newbies are welcome. I don't want to limit the ratings but you shouldn't join the swap and not to send your things. Let's be honest and kind to each other.

2 persons from every country are allowed.

HAVE FUN!!!

P.S. This is my first swap as a coordinator, so if there's something wrong or you want to add something, feel free to contact me. ^.^

DAvril, I believe I can get a small American flag in a 4" x 6" or an 8" x10" size. So let me see, that's approximately 10cm x 15 cm or approx. 20cm x 25cm. Neither of these really fit into your guidelines, can I send one of the standard sizes for over here? or should I cut it to fit? Thanks!

GrammaSherry 11/27/2012 #

8x10 inches is 20x25 cm (approx)

5x7 inches is 13X17 cm

I dont collect flags but would be happy to send someone a Canadian flag - just PM me.

DAvril 11/28/2012 #

SizzixBee, yes, sure, you can. Actually, you may choose any size you want. Just as it's an international swap I think it's more convenient if the flag fits to an envelope, so it won't to be very expensive to send. But still it's all your choice. :)

SizzixBee 11/28/2012 #

Great! Will do! Thank you! It sounds like this will be a very cool swap! Thanks for starting it! :)

SizzixBee 12/ 4/2012 #

Just bought two small flags today! I'm excited to see the addresses/countries I get to send to! Yay!

DAvril 12/ 5/2012 #

@SizzixBee Yeah, I'm excited too. But there are only four of us at the moment. Well, we have 10 days before the start, I hope people will join. :)

streetjewel 12/ 6/2012 #

Come on,people! This is super cute idea) Join us! Got my flags yesterday) They are ready to go)))

DAvril 12/11/2012 #

Today is 11.12.12 and we have 5 days before the start. We already have 2 persons from the USA. That's enough I think, as I'm not sure you'd like to receive the same flag like you sent yourself. All other countries are still welcome!!! Join us ^^ (but if someone is not agree and finds it wonderful to receive another flag from his own country, let me know) Sorry for this long message, but I really worry about the swap)

G'day,

I am very new here. In fact I haven't filled out my profile yet. I would love to join this swap because I live in Australia and it is coming up to Australia Day (26 January) so finding flags is pretty easy just now! :)

I will go and fill in my profile now. Please help me know how to start swapping. Thank you.

DAvril 12/13/2012 #

@Lizard you are welcome to join!! Just press that "Join swap" button. Then Dec, 16 you'll get the addresses to send your flags to. If you have any questions or need help, send me a message. I'll do my best to help you.

wildlifelover 12/13/2012 #

Lizard 12/14/2012 #

Thank you. I am going shopping this afternoon for my flags to send! :) So, if I get this right, I can include a postcard or something as well as the flag if I want to, but I don't have to. Is that right?

DAvril 12/15/2012 #

@Lizard absolutely)

Fever 12/15/2012 #

Hungary is.... IN! :)

DAvril 12/15/2012 #

@dorcii Amazing!!

Lizard 12/18/2012 #

I had so much finding flags! It was a bit touchy to remove the plastic stick (it had little barbs!!!) and I included a tiny special 'something' for my swap partners. Maybe that is Newbie excitement? Or maybe just something I like to do? :)

Lizard 12/27/2012 #

@zurasayang77 : YAY! You're my partner. Flag is on it's way. You might even have it by now?

Lizard 12/27/2012 #

@emilie38 YAY! You're my partner. I hope your flag arrives safely. :) Maybe it already has?
