♥ Handmade Washi/Paper/Fabric Tape!

This is a variation on a swap previously hosted by @missstamper

If you haven't tried making your own washi or fabric tape yet, then this swap is for you! I did it a couple years ago & still have some of the tape.

You can use papers, tissue paper, paper napkins, wrapping paper, paint, stickers, rubber stamps or fabric to make your tape. There are also several adhesive-backing options such as double-sided tape, scor-tape, brown packing tape, clear packing tape or even quality, strong scotch tape. What's your favorite non-glue adhesive?

We will have 2 partners, sending 1 yard (3 feet) of tape each.

Sender's choice for the most part, though its always a good idea to check your partner's profile. Don't send a country or floral-patterned tape if your partner specifically doesn't like those themes! This can be 3 different, foot-long pieces or 2 different 1.5 foot pieces or 1 yard of a single pattern. Width is sender's choice, as long as the tape is 1/2 inch or wider. The tape does not have to be on a spool or roll, but it must be rolled up and not folded.

Some swap guidelines:

~ you can make washi tape, paper or tissue tape, deco tape, fabric tape or any combination thereof

~ you can use any of the above techniques or any others you discover, as long as the tape will have a sticky back. I don't recommend masking tape as a backing because it doesn't stick very well in my opinion. You can use more than one technique as well if you like. Remember NOT to peel off the backing from the sticky side before rolling it up. It can stick to itself, but this will make it less sticky when your partner tries to use it.

~ the tape must be mailed to your partners in a roll, or rolled up - not folded! Especially if you're making fabric tape; its hard to get the creases out.

~ if you're using strips of paper, stickers, painting/stamping, or anything that is shorter than the length of tape you're making, it must be "sealed" or coated with modge-podge or other sealant so that it doesn't come off before your partner can use it.

To clarify - if you're not doing 1 long strip of tape (3 feet long), then your pieces should be no shorter than 12 inches each. Though you can make them any width larger than 1/2 inch, remember we are making tape here; so I wouldn't expect to see anything wider than duck tape.
