I'm totally confused...

We have 1 partner and we both receive from and send to that person? So who gets rated by whom?

Or is this a menage a trois?

Apparently I can't do brain today, I have the dumb.

You will send a package of ten items to your "send to" partner. At the same the person who sends to you will be sending you a package of bits. When you get the package of bits from your "receives from" partner you will use it to create mailart and send it to the same person you sent your bits to....

Mandy sends 10 items to Eepy. Eepy sends 10 items to Jane.

When Eepy gets her 10 items in the mail from Mandy, she makes a card for Jane.

Jane is now rating Eepy both for sending 10 items and sending a piece of mailart.

It is a challenge to make art for your partner with 10 items that came from someone else...

I'm in, sounds fun, just thinking you might want to add a bit more time, Mandy.

If I send overseas with my 10 items it may take 5 days, it may take 3 weeks, but they can't start their mail art till they get it.

That's why I said that you can't rate immediately when it becomes available. Everyone has to send their 10 items by december 10.

When you receive your items you have two weeks after to complete your mailart.

Maybe it would be a good idea for people to come to this thread and post when they receive their items. There is no way for swap-bot to have 2 deadlines, but we always seem to work around it.

Partners are assigned and you can now send your 10 items or less to your partner. No more than 10!!! When you get your 10 items in the mail, you'll have 2 weeks to complete and send the mailart. Please, please, please ask if you have any questions.

We can also keep track of progress by noting on this thread.

@Lady We're probably going to want to mark this as sent if it gets up to the original send-by date and you haven't had two weeks yet to make your postcard. If you don't, the bot will send you those reminder emails.

Received 10 or less items on Friday 4th January. They had their own little holiday en route to me. Finished item ready to mail out tomorrow Monday 7th.

wow @luckycharms what a lag time it was in receiving part 2 and 1 while they were sent at the same day. mail works in mysterious way, but i'm glad you finally received both :)
