Description:

Paint one layer on a sturdy ATC base using Acrylic Paint. Let it dry. In different small areas spread a little Vasoline. Making streaks the width of a Q Tip is good. Now spread a contrasting color of paint over the whole ATC. Use a light touch with that part so you do not smear the Vasoline. Now take a paper towel & wipe off the areas of Vasoline. You should see your first layer of paint underneath now. Let the 2nd coat dry.

This is the background of your awsome ATC. Whatever you choose to finish this ATC, make sure some background shows.

1 ATC for 2 partners.

Thanks to mypoohbear60 I did some checking on Google & found as your last step, you can also use sand paper on the finished ATC. I think I will try this. You just sand in the desired areas for a more scuffed up look.

I am working on my ATC's & want to pass on another tip. You will get a better look if you do not "paint" the vasoline down your ATC in stripes. Little patches will give a more weathered look when you take off your last layer of paint.
