Ok! I have been going crazy with making these and teaching folks at the group home I work at to make them, too! They are very easy to do and kind of addicting!

Some instructions and pics can be found on my blog;but here are the basics:

Take an empty papertowel or toilet paper tube(s).Paint the outside whatever colour you would like.Black makes it look like cast iron! If yoiu are using tp tubes you can go ahead and paint the insides at the same time.

Flatten the tubes slightly and mark 1/2" marks with a ruler and pencil. Cut along the marks. You will now have a bunch of "petals".Using craft glue, glue these together however you would like at their "tips". (See pic and my blog for what I mean)You can make flowers or stars or snowflakes or wreaths or just cool "cast iron" wall decor! They would even make great reusable gift bows!

If you are using pt tubes go ahead and paint the insides now. I have been experimenting with contrasting shades with great success. All white make great stars or snowflakes.Gift bows and flowers could be any colours you like! All black is very elegant.

Go ahead and embellish the heck out of them if you like.Glitter glue or paint, scrapbooking type embellishments, buttons, etc. all work.

Make 3 of these for your partner (not wreaths or wall decor-too delicate-3 stars or the like). They do not have to be all the same. No two flowers or snowflakes are exactly alike after all! Make them something you would like to receive :D

There are all sorts of tutorials on this craft out there and anyone who would like to post a link is welcome to! I have not mastered making links clickable yet :(
