Hi Col, I think the Swap Category for this should be :"Artist Trading Card - ATC" and the Type should be "Type 3 - package or craft". Otherwise those of us who are trying to build up our rating profile for type 3 swaps won't get the benefit from participating in this swap. Just a thought :)

I had this comment on an international ATC swap I hosted and I contacted Rachel /swap-bot admin and was told it is the choice of the co-ordinator- type 2 or 3 - either is correct. What I don't understand Barbara is how it affects the rating profile ??? ... I'm just in it for the swaps. I'd really like someone to enlighten me. I'm writing here as someone else might also have the same query.

I don't know much about it and haven't been here that long, but the majority of ATC swaps I have been in have been ''type 3'' there has been a lot of discussion in the forums on this very subject. It affects people who are new as a lot of swaps say ''must have completed x amount of type 3 swaps''

I did not think it mattered what type you do but to help those who need type 3 i have changed to type 3 and have changed to ATC'S hOPE THIS HELPS EVERYONE.

Hi everyone, I have already responded to Catherine in a pm but I'll post the my reasoning here so all can see. If the swap is a "type 2" swap, that is a flat mail swap (and it could be argued that an ATC is "flat mail") it should have "LITTLE OR NO CRAFT CONTENT" which an ATC definitely has. Therefore, the wrong "type" affects your ratings profile if you are seeking to join other groups with profile type restrictions (which I am). Here is the info relating to this matter, taken from the s/b "FAQ" section of this site.

•Type 1 - Electronic - All electronic-only swaps fall under this type. Swaps of email letters or surveys, e-cards, blog links, Etsy favorites, Flickr favorites, digital photography, etc. Email swaps are any swaps that are done over the internet and do not require postage. •Type 2 - Flat Mail - Mail swaps that only require one or two postage stamps, like postcards, letters, and other postal mail swaps with little, to no, craft component. •Type 3 - Crafts and Packages - Any time-intensive craft swaps or swaps that must be mailed in a package. Most swaps will fall under this type. Anything sent in a box, bubble mailer, or large envelope is a Type 3.

I hope you can understand where I'm coming from. Cheers, all

QUILTbUTTERFLY As long as your ATC is standard size I have no prob with how you do it mine is a little off the pageish so I can't see why you can't do it as you see it in your head.

Linda hun if I get you as a partner i'm bringing mine to the show and vis versa if u like if u get me same 4 barbara. Why not save on postage if we can.

Smiles Col
