mini dotee in a decorated matchbox swap

What a cute idea!

Yeah i though how cute would it be to have a collection of nice decorated little matchboxes that have adorable little dotee in them. I have all my dotees from swaps displayed on a shelf in my craft room, So i thought i could make a new shelf for dotees in matchboxes :)

I love this idea. I just started making matchboxes. I have never seen a dotee doll. I looked it up on the net. I love the one I seen. I am wondering if anyone would be willing to make me one in a box and send me before this swap. We could set up a private swap. I can send (your choice) matchbox, paper fan, or ATC. Where do I get a pattern?

@decopalace - there isn't really a pattern, I have roand ones and square ones - peanut shaped, star, diamond......... it is all about what you feel like making. The website you posted the doll you like has a video on the basics. I googled dotee doll and looked through the image section. You have to have a hanger and tail the rest is open.

My biggest strugle is their little faces. I have experimented with different things trying to get it just right,

A big big thank you ladies for all your help.. @ snoop your an angel for sending pictures and helping out i still kinda have my training wheels on when it comes to public swapping so ladies you have been a great help @decopalace .... grammasherry is correct there is really no pattern for dotee, shape (for this swap is what ever you heart desires) all dotee will have a beaded tail and hanger,google images and get some ideas on dotees HAVE FUN maybe start with something simple as long as she is made from the heart you will be fine we all remember our first dotee doll we made, we all had to start somewhere
