I have a new passion and it is making Dotee dolls, so I thought why not make a Halloween Dotee, it doesnt have to be scary , it can just be made with Halloween printed fabric, or maybe you wanna make a witch or a ghost, its really up to you .. just use something so your partner can tell its a Halloween themed Dotee.. normal Dotee rules apply, must have a hanger and a tail... One doll, one partner, simple... please no FLAKERS, no one like flakers... this swap is for everyone who loves making Dotee dolls, even beginners.. please when signing up , do keep in mind you may receive from someone who has never made one before.. Have fun making your Halloween Dotee.....

Lynne, you can google dotee dolls and see alot of pictures of them. Basically, they were invented as a way to use up scraps of fabric.

Most are rectangle, but you can make it any shape. Add a face, I use felt and then embroider it or you can draw a face on it, and add a beaded tail and what ever embellishments you want.

They really are quite addictive to make....

Yes Lynne, they are very addictive to make, I just recently started making them, and I love making them.. the picture above is of the one my partner made me in my last swap, because i love Nascar.. i just kept looking info up online then just made my own..hope you join us in the swap..

I have never seen a dotee doll. I looked it up on the net. I love the one I seen. I am wondering if anyone would be willing to make me one. We could set up a private swap. I know a dotee doll is 4 to 6 inches tall, but is that just the body or does it count the tail/hanger as well?

i think it counts as the head and tail also..

I've tended to make my bodies 4-6 inches tall with additional tail. Hopefully this will fit in. I am used to making art dolls. I've made several now and am having a blast!!!

make it what ever size you would like, i like making them cause there is really no right or wrong way to make them
