Description:

Admit it...sometimes even though we love making ATCs they can get stale and routine...with this in mind I thought I would host a series of "Not Your Usual ATCs" (If this one is successful I will host others).

The first of this series will be a FAN ATC and was suggested by the awesome @Moosecastle HERE is a tutorial you can use for help. You do NOT have to use this tutorial if you have a better way of doing it. See a beautiful example from @Moosecastle below:

alt text

This is open to both beginners and more advanced...but remember if you are more advanced you could be partnered with a beginner. (If you are a beginner, you may want to include a little note telling your partner this when you send your package). I am giving us a month to complete and send since this is a somewhat involved project.

Requirements:

  1. You will have 1(one) partner and you will send 1(one) Fan ATC.

  2. You need to use the tutorial provided or something similar.

  3. Sender's choice

  4. No sloppy or poor quality work. We are an elite bunch...please do your best, no jagged cuts, no glue globs, etc.

  5. Package your creation carefully & be sure to use proper postage.

  • If, despite the fact that The Paper Dragon is awesome, you are flaked on I will (as I always do) angel this swap...AFTER you rate your partner a 1. If you choose not to rate (according to SB rules), then I choose NOT to angel.

  • If you flake on this swap, you will be banned from all further swaps I host, be promptly removed from TPD and be reported to FOPS.

If anyone has suggestions for any other "Not your Usual ATC type swaps, please PM me or just list them in the comment area below.

Found this one made by coolmom45 on Flickr (no tute):

This is the back of it:

Again, no tute, but this is interesting because she incorporates a tag into the ATC

(Of course, this may be old news to all of the experienced ATC makers here! lol)

OK, my last comment as someone who hasn't a clue about ATCS: 6 Inchies with a border as an ATC. (";)

For the ATC fan I did a template first to try out the ribbon fastening. I found out two things; that the ribbon thing isnt very difficult and that it's very important to put the cards on the brad in the correct order.

Now I have the template to look at when making more fans - dont have to sit looking at the tutorial;)
