You will create one ATC for one partner that includes the mental disorder featured in that swap. Be creative and have fun. You can use cutout images, collage, embellishments. You can either draw, paint and even stitch (not just digital) Remember, these are mini pieces of art. Make nice ATCs, something you would like to receive in return.

Standard Atc Rules apply! Absolutely NO sticker slapping or print out slapping! Make sure your cards are the standard size 2.5 x 3.5 inches (6.4 cm by 8.9 cm).

Must be rated 4.6 or higher. No recent or unexplained 1s or 3s Newbies welcome, but must have a completely filled out profile to participate (I will be checking)

No flakers, please. I will angel any flakers, once you have rated them a 1.

Happy swapping!

This swap will be for Depression.

There will be a new swap every week. The order of the swap is:

  1. Depression

  2. Anxiety/Panic Disorder

  3. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

  4. Bipolar Disorder

  5. Schizophrenia

  6. Multiple Personality Disorder

  7. ADD/ADHD

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND This swap is not meant to upset/offend anyone in any way. I've had my share of these troubles, and I just thought that it would be an interesting idea to see how others are able to portray these difficult disorders. If anyone has a problem with this swap, please e mail me. I don't want to upset/offend anyone.

What a fantastic idea! A positive way to deal with mental illness.

I love this idea too! Another mental illness that would be good for this list is Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) from war or otherwise.

Random question--you state to include the "character"--I was wondering if the ATC could be an abstract representation of what the illness means to me? I want to be sure this is ok if I am going to partake it this series (which I think is awesome!) Thanks!

Thanks, everyone =3 Yes, PTSD would be a good one to include! I will add it. And oops, that was my mistake. Sorry! I used my last swap as a template to create this one, so the word 'character' wasn't supposed to be in there. An abstract representation was exactly what I had in mind when I thought of making the ATC, so it's definitely alright. =3 Feel free to create whatever the mental illness reminds you of, means to you, etc. There are no limits (besides the obvious) I hope this answered all of your questions! Thanks!

not to be picky, but I'm a psych grad nerd and MPD is called DID now, dissociative identity disorder. I am really excited about this series! Great idea and thank you for hosting it :)

Thanks for taking my suggestion into account!

@Thebaretree - Sorry, I'll change that for the next swap =3 Thank you for pointing it out!

ATC 2 is now up. I hope you'll all join!

Depression is a serious mental health challenge, and for men with low testosterone, it can be even more difficult to manage. Oral testosterone treatment can help balance hormone levels, potentially improving mood, energy, and overall mental health. It is important to keep both physical and emotional well being in mind when dealing with depression. https://www.rethinktestosterone.com/blog/testosterone-deficiency-and-depression
