Description:

This swap will be for quilt blocks that can go into a childs quilt. If you do not have children fabric, then you can use bright colorful fabric, using a pattern or solid fabric or combine the two. Each of us will be able to request a size for our blocks, you can also list three (3) colors that you would like to have, please make and send the size requested, but.... this will senders choice as to the color, let's use what fabric we have. If you are using a very simple pattern, such as a 4 block or a 9 block, you can request that pattern, but let's keep it easy, there are beginners in this swap. Please use 100% cotton fabric, make sure it has been washed and ironed before using. Measure your block and be sure that it is the correct size.

I understand that many of you will be beginners on making a quilt block. At the @quilting about.com site she has instructions on how to make a block, along with easy patterns. She tells how to cut and then sew a block, along with instruction pictures, in case you need help making your block.

Everyone is welcome in this swap, your rating is not a question here BUT.....if you don't send, you are out of this group. I will always Angel any swap where I'm the coordinator. For this swap you will have 1 partner and send 1 finished block, if you want to send more blocks, then you ROCK.

Ok, who is brave enought to get started on a quilt. Sign up and be sure to request the size, color and simple block that you will use.

If you have any questions, please ask, there are no dumb questions.

The size that I need will be 6 1/2 inches, will accept any color, my fill-in block will be the 4 Block Pattern, if you need help on how to make this block, ask and I will send instructions, thanks

Let me explain what a 4 or 9 Block are. A 4 is where there are two pieces of fabric on top and 2 on bottom, A 9 Block is where there are 3 pieces of fabric on the top row, 3 pieces in the middle and 3 pieces of fabric on the bottom row. As to color using as few as two different colors, or as many as each piece of fabric, making it a scrap block.

I would be interested in receiving a 4 1/2 inch crumb block. Any scrap of fabric you use will be fine in this block.
