Description:

Many women like to cover their heads for religious reasons on a daily basis. Others prefer to wear shawls, scarves and -- yes -- kerchiefs outdoors, perhaps just simply to protect themselves from the damaging effects of the sunshine. Myself, I've always found wearing a kerchief helplful. With the 2012 summer approaching, I thought it might be a good idea to swap kerchiefs / neck kerchiefs with other Swapbotters. I use my cotton or bamboo, or linen kerchiefs whilst working in the garden and in the park, but of course the choice of a summery yarn is yours!... I also wear either a kerchief or a scarf to cover my head in church. I would not like anything scratchy or too heavy on my skin, though! :-)

For this swap, kerchiefs will need to be either knitted or crocheted, preferably in natural plant fibres. When partners are assigned, please get in touch with your "victim" to see what their preferences are regarding to the colour and size of the kerchief. Hope you can match your partner's requirements! We will be sending one kerchief to one partner.

Newbies who have filled in their profiles diligently are welcome to participate in this swap. However, nobody with the rating of 4.75 or lower will be allowed in. I'm afraid I shall not be able to angel. Still, with just over 3 weeks to complete the project, all serious participants should be able to accomplish their task. If you have any problems whatsoever, though, please get in touch with your partner and myself asap. Many thanks, and enjoy! :-))
