Description:

This is an International Swap

This idea came to me as I was making an ATC for another swap. Why not create an instructional ATC that teaches how to do a type of stitch. As an example, the one I was working on at the time was a Rhodes Butterfly, which is a beautiful stitch and pretty easy to create as long as you know how.

You will make one ATC for each of two partners, so making a total of two ATCs.

The ATC must be standard 2.5 x 3.5 size, have a stitched example and the name of the stitch on the front and then the instructions for the stitch on the back. The instructions can be written, use a diagram, or both to explain how to create the finished stitch. However as this is an International swap please do your best to ensure that your instructions will be understood by your partner, especially as you may not share a language in common.

You may use any kind of fabric or thread to stitch your example but please try not to make them too bulky as they will need to fit into a storage pocket.

If this is popular I plan to run one a month so that people can participate in several and build up a library of instruction cards.

Swappers with a rating of 4.5 or higher and no recent no-sends. Newbies with a fully completed profile. I will be checking and dropping anyone who doesn't meet the requirements.

I will attempt to angel this swap myself, however if there are too many then I will actively seek angels on the forums.

UPDATE 28/02/08 I've added a picture of one I made as an example and extended the sign up date by a week to see if there's any more interest. If there's less than 4 sign ups by then, then I'll reduce the partners accordingly and go ahead with the swap anyway.
