So ideas ladies. I'm not sure of what things people send or receive. Sounds fun though!! i love thrift store shopping. Doing a wedding this weekend and my whole outfit is from the thrift store and my hubby said I looked like I shopped at a high end store!!

Type 2 package what size is that?

Type 2 is flat envelope I think.. I don't really care what size package, you guys send what you thjink your swapper would like, neat, inexpensive, it does not matter, as long as it is not cracked, ripped, stinks. Price is never the object either is the amount of things you send.

how do i find a parter?

@chloebug14 the partners will be assigned on the day or the day after (usually) of the sign up date. you will see a link in the upper right hand corner of the swap that says "see the partners I send to."

Click on that and you will have the partners address.

I have also saved the names for most of the swap I have been in, on a word page, so if I need to go back and them address are no longer available I have access to it.

As for what to send. We are a postcard/crafting site. From inchies to crochet, from clay to buttons. I usually check out my partners profile and get a feel for what they like. Then I go to the thrift store with that in mind. After I buy something from there, I come home and see if I can add to the package.

Just remember the requirements of not dirt, cracked or broken items.

I can honestly say this is on of my favorite swaps. It is up there with mail art.

Can you look for something from a garage sale? There is a town sale coming up in a week.

Does "thrift" include consignment stores?

Certainly you can use "consignment stores too? I feel that garage sales usually end up sending their stuff to thrift stores anyway, so yes that would be fine.

What about dollar items or dollar store items?

Well I had to got to the thrift store the other day.... not had to, errr I guess... well none the less, I found some perfect things for swapping and was so happy I wa in there. Of course I had to buy those! Hopefully they can be given to my partner!

I've done a few of these swaps. I've sent items like recipe books, CD's, vintage postcards, keychains, bags, etc. I've received antique books, notebooks and memo pads, stationary, etc. Garage sale items usually end up at thrift shops, so I would assume that's fine. Its a really fun swap! One of my favorites.

Thank you for swapping, however there were 6 that flaked or didn't mark sent. Out of 101 that isn't bad percentage but I just hate to see anyone go without a swap after they went to the trouble of sending. I may have to angel so I might need a couple of lyou to be willing to do that on this swap. Message me if you will and I will let you know after the 2 week after date due is finished.

I'm one of the "flakes". I'm so sorry that I didn't get mine out on time - I had a HUGE family emergency. I'm still planning on sending mine and I've already contacted my partner to let them know.
