Description:

I haven't seen any button fairy swaps here lately so I thought I would start one.

Please make 1 button fairy for each of your two partners. Use card stock for the background to make it sturdy and hang-able, plus add something to the top (like string or wire) so we can hang your beautiful creations!

You have 9 days to make and send your fairies. Please make fairies you would be happy to receive.

If you don't know what a button fairy is, there are a number of tutorials and images found after a google search.

Here is a fairly straight forward one..

OOPS! I accidentally made the send by date a week later than I say in the description. You actually have over 2 weeks to send! My apologies!

Thank you so much for hosting a button fairy swap! I love them and am really looking forward to making them for this swap.

Thanks isabellasnow! I'm looking forward to this swap too. I remember a time when there were so many of these swaps! Now you rarely see button fairy swaps at all.

I am so excited-I didn't know there was such a thing! One question...can the head be like a wood ball or bell or does it have to be flat? My mind is processing more than I can handle right now!

I think it's up to you how you make it! It just need that beautiful button tail!

Help! I tried different wires last night and they aren't working for me. They're holding the bends and look horrible! Where do I get the wire & what kind of wire do you use? BTW-my poor husband didn't sleep much because he could hear me cursing under my breath trying to make my wire work-LOL.

Hi dreamweaver! I am sorry, I am only reading this now! I have had my wire for a long time....I am not sure where I got it from. Do you have a Michaels in your area? They may be the best bet for finding all kinds of different wires but they may also be a bit more expensive than say a dollar store or some other kind of craft place.

Have you had any luck since you sent the message?

Thanks sweetie-yes. I found some at Michael's in the floral section. Not bad for my first ones. :O) They don't have to be a certain size-I got a really cute one from one of my partners!
