Description: | |
I just listened to an interview on the radio about Roz Chast's book, "What I Hate - From A to Z". Her book is cartoons, one from each letter of the alphabet of things that she hates. I thought it would be fun to recreate this as a swap. Use either an inexpensive spiral notebook (3"x5" - you can get them at dollar store, or make your own if you like). Make a cover to glue over the dull, original one with the title (you know, the one from the swap name) and your name as the author. On each sheet you'll put the letters (in alphabetical order, please), a picture of the thing you hate for that letter, and a brief description of why you hate it. The pictures can be hand-drawn, photographs (say, if you hate Michael because he broke your heart), cut from magazines or printed from the internet. Requirements for this swap - not too many. If I see that you've flaked on a number of recent swaps (or ever flaked on me) I'll delete you. Also if there seem to be a lot of sends but no ratings, I'll also delete you. If you meet these dis-qualifications and still think you should be in the swap, send me a message and I'll consider you. Newbies welcome. Regarding rating - feel free to rate a 3 if the swap is sent late without a really good explanation. A 5 is deserved if it's sent on time, includes each letter and has an explanation and picture. We're not rating on artistic ability or presentation. Hearts should be given for given for awesome presentation (hand-made book, great presentation, well done hand drawings. No need to pad your send with extras, although they're nice to get, I feel like folks sometimes stick extra stuff in just so they can get that heart. I will angel this swap, but give me extra time, and contact your partner to give him/her a chance to send and then honestly rate your non-sender a one. Note - I've extended the send-by deadline at the request of swappers. |
