Embroidery Floss Swap

I am very excited to be hosting this US-only swap! Here is how it will work: • Each participant will get FIVE partners. • You will send EACH of your partners ONE skein of standard-brand embroidery floss (DMC, etc). With a little note and, if you like, a little treat. This is very easy because it can be sent in a standard envelope and many crafty folks have embroidery floss in their craft supply collection. Choose your very favorite color to send. • Afterwards, there will be a second, entirely optional swap open only to the participants of the first swap. In this swap, you can use all or most of the colors of floss that you have been sent to create a project using embroidery, cross stitch or other craft technique. You will send your project to ONE partner. I have set up a flickr.com page so we can display photos of our finished project when we are done. • In order for this to work, we must all be very careful to be punctual with our little packages. That's why I am opening it only to people in the US. Also, please make sure that the embroidery floss you are sending is clean and smoke free because your partner will have to use it.
