Description:

This swap is one where you use the "mail art" you receive to make something new! During the Christmas season we all received lots of decorated envelopes and packages. And, if you are like me, you don't like to throw anything away. So, I thought it would be fun to make something new and wonderful from stickers, drawings, stamping, stamps, and pretty papers.

So, don't throw anything away! Use it to make a new piece of art for one partner. The only rule is your art needs to be totally from saved envelopes and embellishments. Some ideas are: chunky page, ATC, 3 inchies, bookmark, postcard, collage picture, zine, collage something . . . oh, the possibilities for creativity are endless. And, experimentation is encouraged.

This is sender's choice, but please put time and effort into making something nice, something you would like to receive.

You may paint, draw, glue, and use any technique, but your new piece of art must be made totally from used envelopes, cards, packaging, stickers, mail art you received, etc. You are allowed to use cardboard or other backing, but that must be from a cereal box or other recycle materials. Do not use new paper, stickers or embellishments of any kind. The idea is to have fun crafting with things most people would just toss.

You may be so surprised with what you come up with that you will never need to visit a craft store again! Yeah, right LOL

@clutterfree - thank you for the posting. I understand completely. You are still going through a difficult time and it is much harder to think creatively. Also, has been really busy so this can just seem like one more thing to deal with.

Keep in mind some Christmas designs and especially angels can be used to make Victorian Valentines. January is a fun time for snow person or bird collages, too.
