Holiday Mail for Heroes PO Box 5456 Capitol Heights, MD 20791-5456

This is run by the American Red Cross to help send holiday cheer to our military men and women who are far from home.

I will angel if needed, just let me know.

Who's with me?

ADDED: I had to adjust the dates to correspond with the Red Cross' guidelines (thanks Heidi). I hope it doesn't confuse anyone.

Do the cards need to be a certain size? I know other organizations that I sent to have cards sent to soldiers, they wanted cards that were A2 sized(4.25X5.5).

Do we just go ahead and send it out to the PO BOX.....

Ashamedly, I've never sent card to this type of program before. Do we put them in a larger maling envelope, or just write out a card and send it in the envelope that goes with it? Thanks!

Can newbies sign up? Should we include a cheerful letter with the card?

As far as I know, they can be any size, but I would try to be as standard as possible to ensure speedy delivery. I don't think they need to be in a larger envelope. I haven't seen any instructions for that. I assume they forward the cards as is to various personnel. Newbies are more than welcome! We all had to start somewhere, right?
