Description:

Fall seems to have arrived and that has me thinking about the inevitable approach of winter as well. The weather today is cold and damp, and I find myself wanting to curl up and stay inside. In other words, my nesting instincts have kicked in hardcore and I am thinking about ways to make sure my "den" is ready for the coming cold months!

For this swap, you will be sending your partner a 6x9 flat envie loaded with whatever goodies you would like to share to help them get ready for winter. Some ideas: recipes for warm foods, knitting/crochet patterns for blankets, lists of songs that fit the season, pressed leaves, tea bags, materials for embroidery/cross-stitch, how-to instructions for neat fall/winter projects, poems about the season, reading suggestions... You get the idea. Think about what you like to have on hand when you are stuck in the house on a cold day! You can get as inventive as you want with this. If you want to actually make something to send to your partner, that is awesome and totally encouraged. You are not limited to a 6x9 envelope of goodies, but that is the basic starting point for this swap. If you are going to be sending food items, please check with your partner for dietary restrictions/allergens first.

Any questions, just ask =) I will be checking ratings prior to assigning partners so make sure you are in good standing! Swapping is all about fun and I hate seeing folks get flaked on.

I like this idea! However, what are the minimum requirements? Should the envelope be stuffed full or would one or two particular things be okay? I ask not because I only want to put in the minimum effort, but because it's nice to have a benchmark!

Maybe your partner could send you summer themed items :)

The minimum requirements for the swap would be a full 6x9 envie. Thanks for asking/checking :)

Cate - feel free to start a summer swap if you wish!! :)

Oh, I was just being silly. But thank you for the ideas.
