Description:

I love vintage postcards! For this swap find some vintage postcards (pre-1980, but the older the better!) and use them to send to your partners. Old postcards can be found in thrift stores, or some newsstands may have some old stock! Ebay is another great source.

Send one postcard to each of your partners, so you will send out two postcards in total for this swap. Subject matter is senders choice, but you could check your partner's profile for any preferences they may have!

Write a note to your partner on the back and send the postcard naked... if the postcard has already been used and written on, you could send it in an envelope with a note to your partner.

Happy swapping!

How do we know how old they truly are?

Can we send if the date says like 1974 but it's written on, by someone I have NO IDEA who it's from or anything!!

Please let me know:) TY

When I first saw this cool swap, I was thinking that any vintage postcards I found would be already written on and stamped. I am willing to look for blank ones, but if I could not find blank ones, are already used ones acceptable for this swap? I know I wouldn't mind receiving an old used one. But just wanted to check on this.

@hartliine22 - just use your best judgement on the age

@KarlaKC - yes, you could send a pre-used card. You may need to send it in an envelope if you didn't have room for a new address.

Hope this helps

I found some older postcards in an antique store today! Fresh and unwritten. So I won't have to worry about sending a used one, though I myself don't mind a used one with a stamp already on it from the time period it was used.

@hartline22 one way you can determine age of postcards is by the paper they're on. Some of the older ones were smaller, made of linen and definitely look and feel differently than our larger, glossy postcards of today. A search online about postcards might help, especially if you can find a website with visuals. :)

@KarlaKC when I bought these cards on ebay they told me they are all vintage...I'll still consider joining this swap:) TY
