Comment: Thanks Julie! At least I think this is from you--you must've forgotten to write your username on here! Anyway, cool postcard and I've never even heard one of these before (the one about angels taking themselves lightly).
Comment: Thanks so much Julie for the lovely postcard! Postcards are insanely priced now a days, huh? I usually buy lots on EBAY or find them cheap in corners at Walmart. I bought all they had a few weeks ago at 30 CENTS each. Can't get them for that low in stores anymore. LOL.
Comment: Hey Julie! Thanks for the cool forest card
and the fun stamps!! I like how you put the 2¢ on the bottom. Ive wondered about doing that.
No, I am not tired of the cold at all! I want more! We’ve had a long stretch here of what we call cold (highs in the 30s-40s) ; pretty unusual. I love it sunny and cold, but not a fan of wind. Thx again❣️
Comment: Thanks Julie, for the very pretty scenic wintery PC of Mt. Borah, Id. You said you had your first snowfall there in WV. We had our first snowfall here in Canton, PA. yesterday. Just got 1 1/2 inches is all. Happy Holidays!
Comment: I was lucky: I had half a dozen Key Lime Pie recipe cards left! When I went to the store I used to buy all my pcs from, I was devastated to see they're closed. Don't know where I'll get them now!
Comment: Thanks for the variety of playing cards - a couple are new to me. [my profile states that I am sensitive to many smells and foods and to not send any - the tea bag you sent in the swap really made everything smell quite strongly and gave me a headache. Please, please do not send any food or beverage to me - I have to toss it all] Take care.
Comment: Thank you for the pretty post card! I love fall too. Sorry to hear that it rained on Halloween, hopefully it wasn’t too miserable for the trick-or-treaters. Our Halloween was actually beautiful weather. Anyways, happy swapping!
Comment: Im not sure i could read that book. I was in 11th grade and watched it all unfold.
I was so scared and couldn’t get home to my mom. Im surprised the teachers let us watch us looking back. We live near an army amo plant and made matter worse with all the fly overs. And for those reading this we live in va.
Comment: Hi Julie! Thank you for the lovely book pc and share about your read! I had to look it and sounds like something I would enjoy - the reviews on Goodreads were conflicted, so that makes it even more so! LOL! All the Best! Hugs, Happy Reading, and Swapping! ;)
Comment: Wow! I don't know where to start.... Another West Virginian is exciting to me. I haven't had a swap from my state before. I LOVE all the Jokers you sent to me too. It was a perfect little package. Thanks.
Comment: I know you sent it and I received the email from USPS showing me your wonderful envelope that was supposed to be delivered 3 days ago, but unfortunately was not. If I do get it, I will comment again.
Comment: Thank you for the postcards, extras and fun playing cards - I especially love the Star Wars cards, wow!! You chose some perfect cards - SW, love, art... thank you so much for reading my profile and sending these lovely cards my way. Take care and have a great week!
Comment: Hi Julie,
I want to start out this rating with A BIG THANK YOU for your patience in receiving this rating on this swap. Since my surgery, I have had a difficult time, post-op infection, continued slow healing, and GI issues. I really enjoyed swapping with you, so I APPRECIATE your patience.
The mail in Colorado continues to move slow, both in and out of the state. PLEASE be Patient with my mail as I never know how it will be handled after I turn it over to the Post Office.
Thank you for the SUPER swap you put together for me. I look forward to adding the Jack and Ten of Diamonds to my Franken Deck. I'm getting close to finishing my Franken Deck, only need to finish the Diamonds and then 2 cards in Spades to get and add those to my Deck.
I haven't e had the opportunity to swap with you before on Swap-bot. Over the last 8-9 months, I have met a lot of new swappers, new swappers to sending me a swap for the first time. This first experience has been WONDERFUL! . I look forward to swapping with you in the future. Until then, HAPPY SWAPPING!
Before I close, THANK YOU for the 2 postcards. I will be happy to add the postcards to my POSTCARD COLLECTION. I also liked the card you made to write your note in. GREAT WORK!!
Comment: Thanks for all the neat stuff!! This is only the second time I've had a swap partner from West Virginia. I was born in WV, but also have lived in PA, OH, and CA. However, I really never wanted to live anywhere but WV! My daddy's family farm was on the Meadowbrook Rd and I spent a lot of summers there when we lived in OH.
Comment: I really love the WV postcards--this is the farthest I've ever lived from the state (it's 20 miles to the border..up from the 5 it was growing up in Garrett County, MD), and I love these reminders of WV life!
Comment: OMG!!! Thank you so much!!!! I absolutely love all the cards you sent me!!! Thank you!!! Where did you find all the different decks?? I found some WV ones at a truck stop in Fairmont. I keep looking everywhere I go!!! Thank you again!!!!!
Comment: Such great maps - thank you so much! What an odd and very fun b/w photo pc of the monkey in the convertible in NYC! Thanks also for an extra pc of beautiful Hawaii and the delightful 52 chevy playing card and ocean stickers! You brightened a very gloomy day!
Comment: Thanks for the cat pc although I cannot tell which way it is spose to be. Lol. I turn it one way and it appears he goes the other but then he looks ok the other ha ha. I was born in Seoul Korea and I am in the USA now so miles and miles from where I was born and what I consider home
Comment: Ohhh, The family upstairs sounds like a very good read. Thank you. Love the postcards. You are doing better than me. I haven't read any books this year. How did your covid shot go? I refuse to get it. Noone in this household wants it. We wear a mask everywhere. We went to TN last summer and we wore them there too except on hikes.
Comment: Thank you for the many Jokers! I kept missing the Joker swaps, so now I can finally add some to my Frankendecks. :) You sent such a great variety that they fit multiple of my themed decks. Thank you!
Comment: Oh wow! You are SO kind! Thank you for sending me things off my profile. I LOVE the postcards!! Def. going into my collection. Thank you for the postage stamps, and the memo sheets! Thank you for them all, I loved everything!!!
Comment: Thank you. I love them all but Elvis is my 1st Love. These are all new for me. I have about 300 Jokers in my collection & when I get new ones they always makes me SMILE!
At least 6 yrs ago, I did a series of Playing Card Swaps. I ended up with 5 complete decks of Mixed Cards. I have given 2 sets as Christmas gifts to friends & they are truly surprised. Keep swapping & Stay Safe.
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful card! Go blue!! I literally just started the Vanishing Half, and i'm already half way through, as I'm writing this!!! I couldn't put it down! I received the Invisible Life of Addie LaRue for the holidays and I cannot wait to read it! How did you like it? I'm not familiar with the other books, but I'll definitely look into them! It seems like you have great taste! Thank you so much for sharing!
Comment: what a great assortment.. where did you find these amazing decks...fantastic cards...and that elvis one... wow...love the alien and augustus gloop! the lovely forest deer and a peanuts card...so wonderful...thanks so very much for your generosity...how do i choose for my deck ...i'll have to start another one....thanks so much
Comment: I loved the cards. One of my favorite themes. I love to look up the place on the internet and learn about the place pictured on the post card. I consider it a great learning experience and not just a post card.
Comment: Thank you for all the great cards. I love love the Elvis card. It will go with my Elvis collection. I have been a fan ever since I first saw him on TV (The Ed Sullivan Show) when I was 9 in 1956
Comment: Hi! So nice to meet a fellow Michigander! :) We were away for ten years (Chicago and NH) before moving back 5 years ago. I love the Michigan cards! In fact, all the cards you sent are new to my deck. Thank you so much!!
Comment: I have only seen it snow once in our way back from Idaho. But we saw every type of snow on our way home. I remember being in tears telling my husband I was sorry for ever wishing it would snow. HhahH. It’s funny now.
Comment: Hi Julie! Thanks for the Moe’s bookstore PC. I loved Duran Duran in the 80’s. I’d stay up late to hear them be #1 on the radio as I fell asleep. Oh, and the Lionel Ritchie “Hello” video was so good. Take care ;)
Comment: Thank you for the interesting postcard...I would love one of those rocks. And, yes, I did know that about Steven Spielberg! I'm not boasting, I was a volunteer for The Omaha Film Event for many years before I moved to moved to Fl :-)
Comment: Thank you so much for the Ohio PC! I think it's my first. Everybody except me thought about their glasses. Guess I'm gonna be sitting around blind. LOL! Have a great day and stay safe!
Comment: Thank you for the West Virginia postcard, it will make a nice addition to my collection. I'm sure you would enjoy the northwest. Of course Seattle waterfront and a ferry ride to Alki Beach would be fun. Of course the Space Needle would be a must. Although, not much is open yet. If you hike, there are many hiking trails. Lots of fun places! Thanks again for the card.
Comment: Hi. Yes, we do have alot in common. Mine and my hubby's anniversary is in October. Our kids are practically the same age.:-)I love the cards! I have two of the 80's cassette deck card set! One for myself and one for swapping and using in my mixed media and funky junk journals. The shutterfly card is beautiful. I will most likely use the little pictures on my ATC's and twinchies. Have a great day and happy swapping.
(sorry for the delayed rating). Please see my profile page if you are in need of an explanation.
Comment: Thank you for the New River Gorge postcard. I used to cross that bridge all the time during the summer. I’m from West Virginia and miss it dearly. I’ve only been gone since 2017 but I visit every 6 months or so because I get so homesick for my Wild & Wonderful home in Clarksburg.
Comment: Oh my gosh! Thank you for the envelope of fun! I appreciate it all, but I especially love the dragonfly notecard and envelope. Don't know if you noticed but the notecard has a 'DC' for the artist Doug Crouser, but it works for my initials too! Love it all! Thank you!
Comment: Thank you for the whitewater rafting postcard. It was on my bucket list but I checked it off a few years ago when we went to a family reunion in Glacier National Park. I think I was 61 at the time, so there's still time. I loved that it was a raft full of family and the water was so clear we could see the bottom of the river and the huge trout swimming around. I highly recommend it, at least once in your lifetime! Thank you for bringing back that fun memory! :)
Comment: Don't worry about the possibility of duplicates...hard not to with less than 14 swappers for this series. I'm quite happy with everything that you sent, thanks for the note.
Stay healthy and best wishes,Mar/skinny52
Comment: Thanks for the nice variety of playing cards and the joker. I appreciate the cards with designs on the fronts. This is such a fun series of swaps.
FYI...the swap is for standard poker size playing cards and your Dallas deck is not (it is standard bridge size).
Comment: Thank you Julie for the Guinea Pig PC. So cute! We had one some yrs. ago. They don't live very long & this one lived 3 yrs. It was my youngest son's. We also have 2 dogs. Plus a cat. You take care & stay safe.
Comment: Thank you very much for the PC's for Gold. I really like them! Esp. the West Virginia PC. It looks so inviting ! Thank you too for the yarn note card. Cool ! I hope you're doing well and staying safe.
Comment: Thanks!!! I'm also a big Star Wars fan! And a League of Their Own is great, I remember seeing it 3 times in theaters lol. I haven't seen the other movies you mentioned though, I will have to check them out!
Comment: Hi Julie, thanks for the fun-filled envelope! Just wanted to let you know that it did come with one side almost completely open, but I think nothing has fallen out during transit. I am not sure what caused this, but wanted to let you know. I love everything you included!
Comment: Thank you for these lovely cards. I feel so honoured to have received your special Scotland card. My great grandparents were also born in Scotland. We went to meet family in Perth ten years ago and visited many castles. Stirling was my absolute favourite.
Comment: Thanks so much for the card, Julie! We're getting rain here today as well though we haven't had all that much of it lately. We've had snow off and on but nowhere near what we usually get here in NW Pennsylvania. I'm definitely ready for spring to get here! : )
Comment: I've read one of them: Still Alice. I think I'll check out AHEB-I love books about books! Thanks :)
I love your variety in favorites.
As for the postcard, I read most of those, it was so exciting to see. History of Love is my ABSOLUTE favorite novel
Comment: Thank you for the great PC. I used to live near DC, in Fort Meade, MD. I loved it there. Always so much to do and places to go. Now in the Midwest farm country Iowa it's not quite the same. Thanks again.
Comment: Thanks so much for all of the good stuff you sent. I enjoyed seeing the postcard of Elkins as I have been there many years ago when I lived in PA. Since then, hubby and I toured WV and loved the beauty of your state.
Comment: Update to add: I got several items. Enough I think to cover the requirements: postage stamps, washi tape, postcards. I don’t automatically give every person a heart, and it has nothing to do with if I like what you sent or not, which in this case I did. Original: I hope I got everything you sent. Your envelope got destroyed in the sorting machine and I received it in a plastic post office bag. This is why I tape ALL edges of the envelope of the swaps I send out.
Response: So what did you get? I assume since you did not give me a star you either didn’t care too much for the stuff or maybe much of it didn’t make it. I got your envy today and it was lovely.
Comment: Wow! So many fun surprises! Thank you so very much. I really like the birds on a wire washi tape on your craft envelope! Craft paper is so fun to play with. My favorite thing you sent was the cut out little dress, very creative!
Comment: OMG! What an adorable notecard. I used to crochet. My mom taught me. My hands will no longer allow it. I still have one of the last afghans my Mom made me from 1984! A homemade afghan is a wonderful thing.
Thank you for your generous envie you sent for this swap. I especially liked the postage stamps that you used to mail it. I feel like I didn't put enough in my envies:-(
Comment: Thanks sooo much for the items you sent. It’s funny that you sent the snoopy note paper because my youngest son has been talking about getting Beagle for Christmas. Now I don’t have to buy a real one...lol.
Comment: This is the best postcard pick - I LOVE it! Thank you so much for reading my profile and sending this Norman Rockwell PC of the Boy Scout practicing first aid! I really like that you also used some cool postage stamps to send it to me! Hearts for you!!!
Comment: Thank you! I know what you mean about leaving your home state. I have been there more times than I can count. I was an army brat back in a day & we traveled w/ my dad. Lived in CA. 2 yrs., then lived in Ark. 2 yrs.and back to CA again. My mom had enough of the travelling and moved us back to PA.
Comment: Even though I love the color blue, at my house it's "Go Big Red" 'cause I went to the Univ of Oklahoma. But as for wolverines, the cutest one I know is Hugh Jackman, and he's definitely one of a kind! Thank you!
Comment: Awesome PC! I drove through a "sliver" of WV on my way to Pittsburgh once but it was night and we were trying to beat a blizzard so didn't see a thing! Maybe one day I'll get back up there and get a chance to explore your beautiful state. Thank you!
Comment: Hi Julie thank you so much for the Rolling Stones PC, what a fab phot and a fab group. I loved the "The Big Chill" movie. When my boys were small I used to sing them"you can't always get what you want"...lol... have a beautiful week end. peace love light
Comment: I received a confirmation via UPS Informed Delivery that the item was to be delivered, however USPS did not forward to the address. It was not this partner's mistake, the USPS did this. The postcard looked really nice and I appreciate your time!
Comment: So glad to know I'm not the only one who always carries a book, stamps (just in case!), and colorful, fun gel pens :) Thank you also for the beautiful Abigail Adams card. As a child, from the songs/scenes in 1776, I marveled at her devoted correspondence with her husband and how she implored him to "remember the ladies" -- and now that I've read Ron Chernow's Hamilton biography and The Quartet by Joseph Ellis, I look forward to learning more about both of the Adamses. Happy weekend! I am pleased as punch by the crisp weather that landed this morning :)
Comment: Thank you for the lovely church nestled in the forest, vintage postage, and sharing your experiences at the cinema, Julie! I like the actresses in the cast of Bad Moms, and I've known about Florence Foster Jenkins since studying classical voice in college :) Happy first day of September!
Comment: What a coincidence Julie! Thank you for this postcard of the High Falls - Cheat River. Did you go on the New Tygart Flyer? I never heard of this train until recently because my mother is coming to visit and I was looking for a vintage train ride to take her on for her birthday because she really likes trains. Anyway I just booked this train online yesterday! Let me know how you liked it :D
Response: Yes! We took the Tygart Flyer for the 4 hour ride. Very nice. They served lunch and you sat at a four top table for the whole ride. I hope you have fun!
Comment: I loved the postcard with all the cute animals having fun. I can't figure out which one is my favorite, I guess they all are. It make me want to go to Florida. I loved all the stamps you added as well as the inspirational quote, thanks a bunch Julie. ðŸ¬ðŸŠâ›µï¸ðŸ 😎
Comment: Sorry you had to re-send, but this postcard was amazing!
Smells that make me gag:
(besides the obvious ones) excessive lemon pledge, peanut butter, and chocolate scented candles at Yankee Candle!
Comment: Thank you Julie, I love all the stamps too! Cicadas are not too bad around our house, just a few flying here and there but no noise. I was just out at the Montour Trail though and it was pretty loud in some areas! My husband is in Wheeling a few days a week and he said it's pretty bad there. Hope it's over soon for you!
Comment: Hi Julie! Thanks for the UVA post card! Small world ... we visited UVA when my daughter was looking at colleges. She applied, but wasn't accepted. I was enthralled by the stories of the secret societies! She ended up enrolling in U of M - Ann Arbor. We are just now starting to recover after 5 years of out-of-state tuition! But we are WOLVERINES through and through! GO BLUE! Happy Swapping! Valerie
Response: A fellow alumni! How awesome! Go Blue indeed!!
Comment: what you like is awesome Julie! Thanks for the postcard by Renoir. LOVED his work! Gosh, he painted that before 1900! The stamps too are simply AMAZING! It was fun studying them and seeing what we used to put on letters and postcards from the past! Thank you! I love this card!
Comment: Got your postcard--how did the graduation go? Hope it was fun. Your stamps were so cool..i love them...i always try to get different stamps---but i usually just get the ones that are postcard stamps or regular mailing stamps---maybe i need to shake it up a bit :) and get even more FUN with my stamps! Thank you again...have a great summer
Comment: Thank you for the great vintage Vogue cover card and Elvis and Apollo 8 postage, Julie! I have actually not yet seen A League of Their Own but am familiar with the characters and famous quotes and will soon -- it's on my queue :) Happy Friday!
Comment: Thank you Julie for your pc and your goals i thought were so worthwhile! The stamps are gorgeous and thank you for sending me some very unusual postage stamps. I loved the one of Eleanore Roosevelt! She was such a great role model for women in the 50s! The liberty stamp was lovely too! Have not seen that in a long time! You are the best!
Comment: HI Julie!
Love the card from Knott's Berry Farm!!
Ha! Yes it's been raining here too for a solid week.... ugh.. hopefully we'll get a day or two of sunshine before it starts up again!
Have a great weekend
Comment: Thank you for the great George Eastman card -- how apropos for a list about musical artists :) I hadn't known that he was the namesake of the prestigious Eastman Music School at the University of Rochester -- and cool list of so many amazing groups and musicians! Sir Paul is my favorite Beatle, and I would love to see The B-52's live; my sister and I do a mean Cindy/Kate and were elated to finally sing "Love Shack" during her birthday party :) Hope you have a good weekend!
Comment: Julie, I do believe that is the most awesome selection of postcards I have ever received at one time!!! They are all staying in my collection! Thank you so very much for reading my profile and matching your choices to me!! <3 <3
Comment: Your card is a beast! Thank you so much! The book sounds interesting. I can't thank you enough for the XF card! I just watched that episode recently, too. I'll send you a proper thank you card. Go Green!
Comment: Great random facts! And good for you being a matron of honor...no matter what your age (i'm 53...lol) it's just plain fun! BTW...where did your kids get their red hair from????? LOL!!!! Thank you so much! Have a wonderful day xxx
Comment: Thanks, Julie! I've been falling asleep when I read, too. Last night, laying in bed, I couldn't keep my eyes open when I had my Kindle open, but as soon as I closed it to go to sleep, I was wide awake. So frustrating!
Comment: Thank you for the gorgeous Dolly Sods card! It looks quite peaceful, and I can already hear the crisp foliage and feel cool air -- I would be fine living in an autumnal climate all the time :) Happy Thursday!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful tapestry-like card, wonderful vintage stamps, and your message! I haven't yet seen Judith's work as Karen Wolek on OLTL (besides the landmark courtroom scene) because I wasn't "old enough" to watch as a kid -- but I look forward to watching them now. She is a class act. Best wishes!
Comment: Julie, loved your postcard. Wish I could be sitting in one of those chairs. I am sick of winter, although it hasn't been bad. Last night and today we have gotten over 5 inches of rain. Glad I don't live where it snows any more. Shirley
Comment: Thank you for the great PC. I was born in Flint. I believe my mother said she made spark plugs and steering wheels. They moved to Texas when I was 3 mos. old and I haven't ever been back.
Comment: Hi Julie! Love the pc and share! I could think of a worse word you could use all the time, so... LOL! That is a hoot about the Crap Bag! Use it in good health! Thanks for the giggle! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Julie these are great! The Husband's Random Acts of Blindness is PERFECT and so true in my house LOL! And the vintage lighthouse and the vintage tourism pc from '72 are super cool. And thanks for the extras too! xoxoxo
Comment: I had a reference to telephone cords on my card too. And I love your reference to taking shorthand - although for me it was typing on the electric machines (the days when you coudn't Ctrl-Z). Thanks for the great PC.
Comment: Thank you for the lovely card. I do know the Edmund Fitzgerald song and like it very much. The bit about the bells being rung for the lost sailors always makes me shiver. I'd love to see more of the Great Lakes; all I've had is one afternoon on the New York side of Erie. So much history and so many lighthouses and shipwrecks; all stuff I love. Thanks again and take care
Comment: Thank you so Very very much for the stunning PC of Falling Waters! I adore Frank Lloyd Wright and Falling Waters is on my bucket list of places to travel! The fact you had a vintage Falling Waters architecture stamp to match it stunning, I really appreciate the vintage stamps! This is the beauty of swap-bot, finding and receiving unique PC's that you and your partner love! Thank you so much again!!
Comment: Great list of facts!!! I love that you loved being a stay at home mom. It was a tough transition, but as my youngest is heading to kindergarten, I don't want to have to divide my attention and go to work! I love my family!
Response: Stay home and raising my kids was the most difficult and rewarding job I've ever had. They were the best days. Not always easy but I am so glad I did it.
I love that you sendme a pic of your grandad and all his brothers and dad! I LOVE VINTAGE photos and the fact that you told me about him makes it even more special! Thank you!!!
PS - heck no.. I'm with your grandpa on this one.. NO way would I go in a coal mine either! Smart thinking!! LOL
Response: So glad you like it. It is a special picture - we always called it the donkey picture - that my aunt had in her family room for years and gave to me. I cherish it.
Comment: Hi Julie! I am sorry for your loss, even all these years later, it is wonderful that you would want to spend time with your sweet grandma! I am sure she watches over you and knows she is still in your heart! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thanks for the great selection of posties! There are quite a few of them that I think are really cool. Unfortunately, the envelope came with postage due $.70, which was a bummer. :(
Received extra posties and postage to make up for postage due on original swap. Thank you for the very kind gesture! <3
Response: I am so sorry! I still have access to your address so I will send you more than $.70 in stamps! Will that be okay? I feel so bad this happened. I weighed the package and thought I had the correct postage. Please except my apology! Julie
Comment: Thank you for the lovely P.C. I was born in Michigan but was transplanted to Texas when I was 3 mos. old. My mother said she refused to do another winter there. One was enough. They had originally gone up there to find work.
Response: I like the change of seasons and Michigan is still home to me. If you ever get a chance to visit the state, it is worth it.
Comment: Thank you so much for the fabulous selection of post cards. I had to laugh at the Weed, CA card - I've passed that sign many a time - and - always laugh when I see it . Love all the cards - And love your round address label, too. Thank you . Happy day to you .
Comment: Thank you for the great Knotts Berry Farm pc. In all the times I have been to CA, I never made it to Knotts Berry, we always went to Disney. I didn't know there was a movie coming out, now I will have to look for it.
Comment: Great PC - and awesome stamps!! I love planes and have taken my son to several places to climb on/through planes, over the years. He has volunteered at a museum close by as well Air Classics Museum of Sugar Grove, IL. Have you read about the Stratolaunch - planned for 2016 the largest plane ever built. Take care, Annette
Comment: Wow! Super duper thanks for the fabulous postcards - I love them all - and - well, don't tell @Paige1900 - but - I love that clown card, too - I love the artwork on that . Thanks so much for the goods, and, Super thanks for joining my little swap. Happy day to you.
Comment: Thanks, Julie, for the cool postcards. I took a chance and I'm glad I did! In fact, I can't help but wonder if one of the cards (SF1915PanPacificExpo) may have originated with me. I love having it back with me! Take care. -Rhonda
Comment: Thanks for a lovely card. My dad was born in Rich Creek, a tiny town not too far from Wytheville, but his grandparents lived in Monroe County, WV and we were once members of the Monroe County Anglers Club. Small world, isn't it, especially on Swap-Bot. Thanks again, and happy swapping!
Comment: Hi Julie, thank you for the Norman Rockwell pc. Yes, I like this, they are whimsical and a heartfelt reminder of simpler times. The stamps are lovely also. Have a fantastic day and happy summer swapping! :)xx
Comment: Julie ~ What a great PC . . .I love it! Certainly hot dogs are a 'staple' in the US whenever we celebrate American things --- 4th of July, Memorial Day, and Labor Day picnics and, of course, baseball games. This was perfect for this swap :-) Have a happy and safe 4th ~~
Response: So glad you like it! Thanks- hope you have a great holiday as well.
Comment: Hi Julie! Thank you for the amazing postcard! I absolutely love it! I'm trying to convince the hubz that we need to go to Michigan for a week to see how many lights we can see:) I hadn't heard of "The Light Between Oceans", but I'm going to have to download it now after reading the reviews:) Thank you!
Comment: Hello again Julie! Thank you for thinking of me when you traveled thru Ohio and bought the Wild birds of Ohio. Love the multiview of the birds on the beautiful lake view. Hope you are enjoying some coolness in West Virginia this summer.
Comment: Hello Julie! Wow, you made me feel nostalgic with the "detail" - close up view postcard you sent to me for the swap. Here I go dating myself again - my grandmother gave me the "upgraded" version of that old black typewriter. It was green, non - electric of course, "automatic" manual typewriter. My first keyboard, this "metal monster" was heavy, couldn't type fast as keys would jam together. Surely it was the maker of carpel tunnel syndrome in wrists. Amazes me how fast my keyboard today. The PC shorebird postage stamps reminds me to go back to my local post office to buy some of the new postal rate stamps. There is a new yellow butterfly stamp of 71 cents, I use them to send the larger postcards. I like it cool also, must stay in my apt in the A/C. When it rains I can get out. Happy Summer!
Comment: Julie, thank you so much for the wonderful lighthouse postcard. I never knew that there were over 100 lighthouses on the shores of Michigan. I am going to have to get all of them. Shirley
Response: So glad you like it! Yes! Lighthouses area big thing on the Great Lakes. There are tours and trips and stuff you can take to tour some of them. Have you read the book The Light Between Oceans? Great book if you like lighthouses.
Comment: Dear Julie, as someone that prays every day, and I do pray to my Guardian Angel to protect my kids, family & friends, I want to thank you for such a great pc and the great quote. Blessings to you & yours.
Comment: This might be my favorite simply because of it's hardships in travel. This postcard arrived to me completely ripped in half. I have the half with your writing and name and part of a stamp on it. My address is almost completely ripped away and the poor girl on the front has no head. It's kind of amazing that it even made it to me. Fascinating ^_^ Thank you so much for sending it. And I will take the book suggestion as well. ^+^
Response: Wow! Sorry about that! Sounds like it got caught in something or something interesting got a hold of it! Yikes!
Comment: Thank you for the great star wars altered postcard. I really like Bruce Springsteen too. He played a free show in Portland at pioneer square. No one knew it was coming. I was walking by when I saw him come on stage. I swear the whole world stopped in disbelief. Best day ever!
Comment: Thank you so much for the 'perfect' postcard! I love it!!
It is funny (donkey with the shoes,) historical, Scottish as well as your family history! It is one of my favorite postcards that I have received!!! xxx
Response: So glad you like it! A much larger version is framed above my fire place. I thought it would make a fun postcard.
Comment: got my dishclothes, thank you so much, I really like the knit and crocheted ones so much more the ones I can get at the store. Thank you for being so generous and ssending 2, I wish I had thought to do that,.,maybe next time I will. Marcia
