Comment: Liz, thank you for your notecard, I've enjoyed reading it a lot! For some reason it's so comforting to read how a days of another person you've met through TGIF go by, perhaps, because we're being open to each other. And this in turn makes our hobby way more meaningful.
Also, Everglades national park postcard you've included is absolutely marvelous! The greens, the nature, I love it all!
Response: I very much agree about being open with fellow Swap-Botters. It feels like a needed connection.
Comment: Love the New Leaf Green that you picked out for your new library room! I'm in agreement with you, not a huge fan of green and orange together. :) Thanks too for the book review, The Doctors Blackwell looks interesting ... including what you said about looking down on nurses and other women.
Comment: Pretty good weekend... awesome that you bought so many toys for the food pantry Christmas baskets! So Brilliant! Also enjoyed looking at the Repurposed table tops... I think the cell phone cover is my favorite, or maybe the crayons, but they are all really cool! :)
Comment: yay, i can relate:
1 - absolutely! email swaps are not necessarily easier - me, too, struggling with how to get everything coordinated before clicking!
2 - de-cluttering is endless!!! i have gotten rid of a LOT of stuff since retiring 14 years ago, but things still have a tendency to
disappear from where i sorta remember where & wonder if i ever will figure out what i want to do once all the excess stuff is cleared
3 - Satchel's & Repurpose Project sound like wonderfully unique places - hooray for getting all that kid's charity shopping done!
> thanks for sharing your exciting weekend!
Comment: Thanks for the note and postcard. You did have a busy weekend. I need to declutter. May do some this week since I’m off. Love the story of your breakfast guests. I also LOVE a sharp dressed man!
Response: As I'm decluttering, I'm trying to find people who will appreciate the things I loved. It makes it easier to give away. Glad you like Mickey Mouse!
Comment: oh wow! You had breakfast with two random strangers!! That's so awesome... I'm super shy too, and dang, you are just my hero right now! :D Thank you for sharing that with me! We also have some Camellias blooming right now, but they are the pale pink varieties... you got great pics!
Response: I felt compelled to invite them to the table. It must have been a divine appointment. I love taking pictures. I should do it more often, I'm just usually into what I'm doing and forget.
Comment: Thanks for your great letter! It was right up my alley. I am going to write you back but have a question first -- what pen/nib did you use? I am looking for a similar swoop but haven't really found it. Hello from Newport!
Response: Thanks for the rating. I hope you write soon.
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful card!! Did you take the photo yourself? I love it! I am so impressed with your busy weekend, you must have a big yard! I am also very impressed that you don't keep bread in the house! I hope you have many more restful Sundays - those sound like my dream day! :D thanks again!
Comment: Liz! You can breathe a sigh of relief; it finally arrived! Thanks for the fantastic card; I love the photograph on the front; you're very talented. It sounds like you had a very eventful weekend, and I hope given how much time it's been since that you're not aching anymore. Have a wonderful day!
Response: So glad it arrived! I would enjoy a continued correspondence, either by mail or electronic, as you sound like you could be a creative BFF!
Comment: Oh my goodness, these are fabulous photos!! Thank you for the backstory of your visit to England and of the firefighter. My father is a retired firefighter, so this story is especially sad to me. Thank you so much for joining my swap and for these great photos!
Response: I'm glad you were touched as I was. That trip was a while ago, but I still think of Richard often.
Comment: Hi Liz, thank you for the handmade Alligator PC. I didn't know that about the stomach being no wider than the tail where it meets the body. It's funny you sent this one because today I also received another Alligator PC lol Happy October swapping peace love light
Comment: oh my gosh...did you draw this Way Cool ATC?!!!...love it!...its very unique...one of my favs is pen and ink drawings...this one looks like an old photograph...very cool!!...thanks so much...awesome addition!...cheers!.. oh and to use a calendar page for an envelope...perfect!...thanks for the shells too...
Comment: Liz this atc greatly exceeds the requirements for this swap! I am so impressed by the colors and textures .. it is beautifully composed and creatively thought out... I am so happy to add it to my collection... thanks as well for the lovely envelope!
Response: I am so happy that you are pleased. I try to send what I would hope to get.
Sometimes I don't think it's enough.
Comment: oh my... not a great weekend, worrying about Hurricane Dorian! Do you still have a roof? Hope you don't have any damage! And a beautiful photo notecard... well beautiful and evil. ha! Thank you!
Comment: What an interesting card. I love all the unusual materials you used. And I just noticed that your postage stamp matches the PC. I wondered why you signed the card "Minnie Mortimer" but with a little research realized you were quoting her. LOL
Comment: Hi Liz. Thank you for the adorable flamingo ATC. We are almost, sort of neighbors. I have been to your neck of the woods. We visited the winery and some other great places near Hawthorne. I live in the Villages, about 45 miles south of you. Hope we get a chance to swap again in the future. :-)
Comment: Just gorgeous! Thank you! Funny quote too, shared with my husband.
(By the way, saw your address, my cousin lives in Waldo, and I spent my summers growing up in Micanopy--🧡🧡 small Florida towns are the best)
Response: The world is just not as big as we think it is. Glad you liked my card. It was fun to do. Thx for your rating. 😊
Comment: March 4th, 2018: Please contact me when you come back to swap-bot, I'm worried about you. I never received this card and noticed it wasn't mailed. Must have rated you for a different swap on accident. It's been a half a year about. I do hope you're alright, Liz. ---- May 25th, 2019: Thank you. Welcome back to swap-bot.
Response: I'm back. Please send your address so I can send this.
Comment: Hi Liz, LOVE my selection of ATC's. My fav's are your hand carved stamped ones. They are amazing and an inspiration. Putting that technique on a to do list. Thanks so much for a wonderful swap.
Comment: Thank you for joining and making this ATC! The orange wool tuft is fun. :) Thanks for your patience with this rating--I've been traveling! I hope your last round of chemo goes well. I will be thinking of you.
Comment: I was so excited to see an envelope from you and these ATC's are absolutely AMAZING. My fav's are the cats and the cork, and I am really loving your designs and textures. It inspires me to try new techniques. Thank you for a beautiful group of ATC's. Your envelope is a piece of art all by itself, thank you, going to re-purpose pieces of it.
Comment: Thanks! I'm glad you found happiness again! Happy anniversary (delayed though it is...) and Linography! How awesome! I'm part of a group of artists who does screen printing and I love to branch out and do letterpress & lynogravure... I love it! Cheers! H.
Comment: Thank you so much for the great ATCs. I felt quite spoilt getting three of them, all with interesting imagery on them. Are you only interested in found image ATCs, or would you be interested in ATCs with other media, too?
Response: I do trade mixed media ATCs in other swaos. :)
Comment: Thank you for the great letter. Can you explain to what an "ATC" is. I'm new to swap-not.
Response: Hi. Sorry I didn't explain that in my note. An ATC is an Artist Trading Card. They are 2.5" x 3.5" and are miniature works of art. You can use any media you like and work on the theme required by the swap.
Comment: Many thanks for your mail, Liz! The wonderful postage stamps on the envie, The lovely papers with fibers and the commentation according to the photo PC's ::-) And the sunny orange of the note (paper) - love it! It looks like we both are collectors ;-) Until next swap! :-D
Response: I'm sooooo relieved it arrived safely. International mail has been problematic at times. I'm glad you love the stamps! I got those out just for you. The whole swap was fun! Am glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for the beautiful cat you created using watercolors and gel pens. I like the black around the outside of the cat. I will add this postcard to my Favorite Colored Postcards. You brought a smile to my face with your postcard.
Response: I'm so glad you like it! I hated giving it up. Thx for the heart.
Comment: Absolutely love the cards, all 3 of them. The cards are so sturdy and well cut. Do you have a punch you use? Perfect. Hugs, Mona
Response: I use sturdy cardboard such as cereal boxes. Then I use an old fashion swing arm paper cutter. Some if the best money I've ever spent. Rounded corners are from a corner punch found in scrapbook section.
Comment: Thank you for your cards this round. Love it all from the creep doll stamps and decorated envie to the cool variety of techniques you used. Really love the Our Father in Latin calligraphy card - very personal for me.
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely note about your weekend! Wow - it sounds like you had a lot of fun, and totally delicious food! I also appreciate your organizing these swaps - I find them to be really a lot of fun.
Comment: Thanks for two more interesting images. I can understand how you could forget a send date.....you've been doing tons of these. I have enjoyed the concept. Keeps the eyes open for cool images.
Comment: I like your style. (wish I was that handy) Thanks so much for having these fun multi swaps. I have about 200 already made up, I have a lot of free time. I like the silly and unless someone tells me to stop, I'll continue. Again, Thanks.
Comment: Nice ATC! Nicely done! The washi was laid out so well it was hard to tell if it was printed paper or washi. Thanks for all the goodies and the handmade envelope. Great package. I've been enjoying looking through it multiple times. Happy swapping!
Comment: Beautiful handmade envelope! Thanks for both the puppies and kittens Valentine's with temporary tattoos, kinda fun 😃 thanks for the stickers, it was always fun getting a little goodie with the tiny Valentine's at school.
Comment: Hi Liz! We are going to become pen pals at this point! LOL, as I write to you this week! Did the tree get taken down yet? We have never tried stuffed peppers, but thinking we need to this year - we will see! I am amazed your weather is so cold there - I just never expect that from FL! See ya at our next mailbox visit! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Loved the card. Loved the simplicity of it. It helps remind me that sometimes in life we need to be simply and not all gussed up. I do love the card and I am so happy I have your card as the first one in the collection. Thank you LIz.
Comment: Thank you so much for the great colored ATC! I have collected a large selection of coloring books and yet this swap was only the second thing I have colored. LOL! I guess they will become another hoarding obsession for me.
Comment: Oh I loveeeeeee ittttttttttttt --- Rudolph! Thank you so much for that cutest Christmas card - and - I love the fabulously decorated envelope! Thank you for a wonderful send - and - Super thanks for joining my little swap - Merry Christmas to you.
Comment: Frosty Greetings from Illinois where it is 40 degrees and expected lows in the 20s tonight. Brrrrrrrr!
Thank you for the card and beautifully decorated envie. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year of Swapping.
Comment: Thanks so much for joining Liz. I am in love with this swap. I really like your Christmas washi card. I tried making some with washi and it was a total bust, maybe i'll try on like yours and see how it turns out!
Comment: Extra hearts for all the extra's. All of them appeal to me. Thank you very much for the beautiful handmade card and the yummy teas flavors that I don't have access to, I'm a Texan that was forced to move to Oregon. Ended up marrying a Greek American and now live in Greece. November sneaked passed me...
Comment: Thank you for the great filled postcard. The postcard itself was very successful and arrived safely. I really like the way you used tape to divide the two halves of the writing side. And thank you for the enclosed surprise -- I particularly like the vintage French chocolate advertisement card!
Comment: What a beautiful notecard and photo of the park in Georgia! I get butterflies in my tummy seeing how beautiful the area is! I am so excited to move and see a different kind of "beautiful" and explore! Your weekend sounds like it was nice! Thanks for hosting this swap! It is one of my favorites! :)
Response: Thank you. I'm glad you like the swap. I like hearing what other people are doing.
Comment: The ATC with the fabric is amazing! I love the hexi and wool (?) yarn! Awesome! I am also drawn to the one that feels like its made on canvas paper... is this an image transfer? I was ADDICTED to those for awhile. Maybe we can trade some!
Comment: I really like what you created...the only problem is I am now I am craving orange sherbet! I loved the background and well...all of this atc...thank you so much...loved the funny cartoon...these are so clever...thanks also for the cards...great swap
Comment: I LOVE LOVE LOVE the ATCs you sent, and they are going straight into my collection. My favorites are the black and tan ATCs, but I also love the orange fiber texture one with the fabric hex and handspun fiber. Thank you!
Comment: Hey you! Love the ATC, now to choose if it is going with my OWL collection or my Halloween collection! The stickers you sent as a treat will work well for decorating my desk! I love this time of year so much! Thanks! =)
Comment: How about we just send eachother a package a month, on the honor system, like a flat rate one. lol. Because this is like a few in a row now! Hhahaha. I love the Franken Stout thing on the back of the envie. It smells good, like glow in the dark and cancer.
Comment: Thanks for the two awesome ATC and the fun coke card! I had a deck like that once. Thought it was going to be great for drinking games up camping and all they did was gather dust and dirt because of the static! hahaha. Live and learn!
Comment: Thanks so much Liz, I love the Halloween PL so much. I'll be able to use every bit of your PL for something which is wonderful. I really appreciate all the Halloween bits as they're impossible to get here in Australia. :)
Comment: Thank you so much for the wonderful notecard. I really enjoyed reading about your weekend. At Walmart I was the fabrics department manager until they took out the fabrics then I moved to the photo lab. I did enjoy both departments but my body just decided it didn't want to work like that any more. Now I work two days a week, four hours a day at Lifeway Christian store. I still get to enjoy interacting with the public but with much easier and shorter workdays.
Comment: I am not sure if there was any kind of note or extras with your atc. The envelope arrived shredded in a baggie from the post office... the atc was intact. Thank you for the glow in the dark atc... i will be testing to see how well it works after it sits in the sun.
Comment: Hi Liz! I love the photo on your notecard - very cool! I am so sorry to read about the hurricane issue - that is so scary and I am thankful you are all ok! Sounds like the rest of the weekend was much better and that you got a bunch done - way to go! My weekend was fun, not so exciting but that is a good thing at times! LOL! Thanks again for the fun swap - stay safe and dry! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: I love your flower mini pocket letter! Very pretty! Thanks for reading my profile. Congrats to you and Andy, it's never too late to find love. You probably heard my "squeee" when I saw the "breakfast in Paris" tea. Wish I could give you more hearts.....
Comment: Wow, thank you for the amazing hand drawn ATC! This is only the second ATC swap that I have been in, and I only wish mine could have turned out half as nice as yours. Yea, in response to your note: we got drenched! Close to 20" of rain from Hermine!
Comment: Thanks for this great ATC! Thanks too for getting rid of the "P!" LOL I so appreciate that! Hope you are having a safe and wonderful summer. We already have had snow, up in the mountains! Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Comment: Hi Liz! Thanks for sharing about your weekend - it sounded great to me! It is fun to get the same partners and see what all is going on with them and yes, I love these swaps! LOL! TY for the extra goodies as well! Hope you enjoy the holiday weekend - three days off - whoop, whoop! LOL! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thank you for the cheery Mickey Mouse and Cinderella's Castle card (I am disappointed that the iconic Tower of Terror is being closed in favor of a Guardians of the Galaxy ride, but I'm unsurprised, since Frozen has taken over both rides and live stage shows at the Disney parks) and good wishes, Liz! I am grateful that my family hasn't been affected by the flooding, but I am sorry for all of those who were/are. Happy first day of September!
Comment: Thank you for the really special Maggie smith postage stamp! Liked that you used black and white note card. Your unique designs were wonderful and so well executed...I liked them very much... So glad you were my swap partner...thank you
Comment: Thank you for your lovely cat card! Since I was young my father had a dog. He lived for 10 years and I can't imagine the day he died. That's the struggle should I have a cat but one day he/she will leave me. :/
Comment: Nice prints; thank you! Do you think you'll continue with alcohol ink printing? This was my first time too. I found some yupo paper at a art store while on vacation. A large large sheet for 5.75 can't wait to try it out!
Comment: Thank you for sharing your to do list. I like your beach photograph and the flower postcards, too. And this playing card is so unique. it's great! I hope you get some decluttering done...even if it's just a few minutes or a few items each day.
Response: Glad you liked everything.
Some day I'll get it done...
Comment: Such a fun envelope and then the perfect postcards for me! I just love those educational chart pc's in French and don't have the 2 you've sent, plus another marvelous Art of Disney Golden Age card to add to my collection - I have 5 now and all unique! Love that very unusual gold $100 playing card you sent as a bonus treat, too! Thanks for a fabulous swap, Liz!
Comment: Thank you for the Sleeping Beauty postcards. I'm pretty sure my granddaughter will lay claim to them as soon as she sees them! Thank you also for going the extra distance with a handmade envelope (beautiful BTW) and the little gifties, which I love. Great swap!
Comment: Thank you so much for all the beautiful Disney items you sent me! I really cannot tell what I love the most from your package! Oh and the pressed penny has Ariel on it <3 I would love to go to Disneyworld by my own, I only was in Disneyland Paris.
Comment: Sounds like you had a great weekend! I've been to Disney World 3 times, but I've never been to the Disney Springs shopping area and would love to check it out one day. I loved the post card you sent me! Good luck on your weight loss journey!
Comment: What a great bunch of stickers you sent! There are LOTS I can use, some I've earmarked for particular people (my 12-yr-old granddaughter is going to totally go for the skull, lightening, etc.), and the few that are left will find happy homes as well. Thanks for much for a lovely mail day!
Comment: Hi Liz - always great to have you as a partner! TY for the awesome gator card, extras and the share! As we know, not every weekend can be amazing but laidback ones are wonderful as well! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: OMG. This just got to me and it is clearly postmarked May 14, 2016. I would love to know where this envie has been for almost two months.lol ;D My street starts with a T, I can see how someone might think it looked like a J, but other than that, No. it is postmarked correctly.
Response: I was beginning to wonder myself. Two months! Thats unbelievable. Was it addressed correctly?
Comment: I seem to run into you everywhere :) My dad lives in Gainesville and we have driven by Satchel's many times. I have tried to get him to eat there, but he tells me the line is always too long. Just makes me want to go all the more. Your church project sounds amazing. I love that your group is so thoughtful to think of those that struggle. I would love to see what your matts look like. I am sure your homeless really appreciate all that you do.
Response: If you get to Satchels before 5 you can usually get in no problem. After that it's a long wait.
Mats don't look like much. They are 30" wide by 6' long and whatever color bags we could get our hands on :)
Comment: Hello Liz. Thank you for sharing a weekend of your life with me. After your very busy week, I hope you've wound down and are enjoying your week. Just thinking of your cake made my mouth water. :)
Comment: Thanks for the notecard. Sorry for the less than exciting weekend. Sometimes that happens. Just makes us more thankful for the great weekends. My parents just celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary. A coloring group... neat idea. Going to share that with my mom; she's into the adult coloring (and retired, so lots of extra time on her hands).
Comment: Hi Liz. I love my assortment of ATCs! Your zentangles are so pretty. Do you use your gelli plate often? I bought one and have never used it, yet...now where did I put it? :) Thanks a million hearts for sharing your talent with me. ~nancy
Response: Have not used gelli plate often. Still trying to find the right weight of acrylic to use.
Comment: Hi Liz. I really like the ATC's you sent. I feel bad but I must only rate a 5 as you didn't fill out the backs with the required info. I am glad you added where the images came from, but your name and the date are also required. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the coordinator.
Comment: Now that's an interesting envie of stickers! LOL! :D And I love the envie they came in with the Leaning Tower of Pisa, that put a smile on my face before I even opened the envelope. Thanks Liz!
Comment: AWESOME ENVIES!!! I LOVE the Halloween ones! The beakers and the skeleton and the bats are so cool! The stamps on the red envie are cool too! Especially the booze cruise one! Thank you so much!!!
Comment: Thank you for the great Alice in Wonderland card and vintage cupid postage! I have been on an Alice kick lately ever since I read the novels for the first time (despite having enjoyed all things Alice since childhood ^_^;;) Have a great weekend!
Comment: Thank you for the lovely note Liz! It sounds like you had a very nice weekend! It's funny you mentioned finishing the last HP book, I was just thinking about starting them all over again (or at least rereading the first one) because we are visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter this summer, I'm excited! I love HP!!!
Response: Where is the Wizarding World? I've not heard of it.
Comment: Thank you for such a beautiful envelope, and the atc's turned out very beautiful! Now I know why my new aren't working out so well it looks as if instead of a full spray you dripped your color is this correct?
Response: No it was actually sprayed. It dripped a lot though. It was unintended.
Comment: I love this swap! I am so excited to start my collection of art! The elephant that you colored is just beautiful! Thank you for the stickers too---wish I could give you lots of hearts for this! Happy Swapping!
Comment: Hi Liz! Your trip to Okefenokee Swamp Park sounds fun and your photos are amazing!! May I ask what kind of camera you used? The photos are so sharp and pc material!! The peanut butter stuffed french toast sounds awesome as well - yummy!! I love these swaps and hope you continue to host them for a very long time!! Thank you for making my day! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: I use a Canon Rebel 3Ti. Glad you liked everything.: )
Comment: Thanks for sending your round 2 card on to me, and for the friendship quotes. I'm actually happy there's another chance to color and I'll send it on its way to its original owner. :) Have a nice day!
Comment: Hi Liz! Thanks so much for the Paris note card, with the very nice message. Did you stamp the canvas pieces? I've had two pen pals on swap-bot site. One from Germany and one from Virginia for over a year, but lost touch. Most of my swaps are postcards, notecards, made a lot of recycled envelopes and chunk of cardboard postcards. Love to make envelopes. Thanks again for everything. Take care, Judy
Comment: Hi, I enjoyed your note card/letter and quotes, thank you. I enjoy Neiman Marcus stores and love feeding the cats on my back patio, although, the city discourages it. Have a lovely spring watching nature :)
Comment: thank you very much for a couple of really well made atc's ....I like a new challenge and you really came through...thank you for the note...as well...we share that trip for correct postage...thanks again...
Comment: Nicely made card! We also have lovely weather here! I am a warm weather sort of girl. I moved from Upstate New York to Jacksonville, Florida when I was 19 and I have been down South ever since (17 years)!
Comment: The yellow flower on this postcard reminds me of the dandelion bouquets my children used to bring me. Thank you for the postcard, John Wayne stamp, and for taking the time to write a little note. 😊
Comment: Lovely ATC you've sent me! And thanks so much for the tea. We get lipton's and twinings and a few others, but Bigelow doesn't ship to here and I've never seen Tazo in my country either (maybe in the city though) so you picked a pair of winners! Have a lovely day :)
Response: I'm so glad..Do you get Celestial or Yogi tea?
Comment: Thank you for the postcards of Washington! I've never been there, I have been in Florida twice, without and with our boys, next year maybe California, but the eastcoast is definitely on our wishlist...
And thanks for the nice extra tapes!
Comment: What a wonderful swap you sent. I love the note cards and can't wait to use them! I have been writing more letters and was running out of a variety. These will give me some new cards to write in. Thank you so much!
Comment: Thank you for the cool card and washi! I thought the Handmaids tale is pretty disturbing too - it feels like it could come true some day! It's been warm here - boo. 87 degrees today. Where is my snuggly winter weather? Thank you for the lovely note - Happy March!
Comment: Thank you so much for the Note Card! I loved the 3-d flowers - I think they are so cool!!! They really DID brighten up my day. I also like how you decorated the envelope with red stripes as well as the b/w card that you made yourself. And the quote is very inspiring and true - you just did it! (:
