Comment: Thank you for the positive pc and sharing your first job. I'm so sorry that you had to go through that, especially for your first job. Sounds like the mom was a miserable person. I hope jobs after that were more positive. :)
Comment: thank you for the cute card and goodies. so excited that the weather is getting nice for you and for your new endeavor in life! opening a store and business is so exciting- all the luck and love to you!
Comment: Thanks Marie for your gumball machine postalette note. I remember these postalette all to well. I had some years ago. I enjoyed reading it very much. I still have a few Precious Moments ones, that I rarely use. Because they are a collectible. Take care Marie.
Comment: Thanks so much for the deco you sent for this swap (and the others)! Of the 4 you sent for the three different swaps, I don’t know whether the llama or nesting birds are my favorite:). Both are great!
Comment: The jewellery is adorable! I don't have much for 'celestial' items, although I like them on others a lot. I doubt anyone today would remember Stevie Nick's gold crescent moon pendant in some of her famous 70s photos. The moon printed gauze bag was just extra because I'll definitely use it. I also know someone who would probably like the popper toys a lot to keep their hands occupied so they don't get distracted. Thank you so much!
Comment: Thanks for the cute little Easter card, confetti, word search and egg dipper. My sisters, their families, me and my family will gather at my parents' for an Easter meal. We all bring food to share.
Comment: Thank you for the lovely notecard and for sharing with me how your week was. Sorry about your dog being sick, hopefully he/she is okay now. Thanks for the extra goodies you included! Enjoy your day!
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful card and awesome extras! I'm looking forward to Easter, too. We are going to have an outdoor morning service at our church. We had this last year and it was such a delight that even the birds gathered around to sing with us. Happy Easter! Have a wonderful day!
Comment: Thank you so much for sharing! I went to the Van Gogh Immersive Experience in Chicago and it was cool, but it’s been a lot of drama here in Nashville! They kept pushing back the date and they got shut down their first day for failure to get permits. I think it’s open again though!
Comment: Thanks for postcard and note. Yes, I have a St Patrick's Day ritual..I get up, get dressed.,have coffee, then look at Calendat and say...Oh No, I forgot to wear green again this year. I am Irish, Scottish and German. Maybe next year :)
Response: Hahaha! I love this! Careful now, don't get pinched!
Comment: Thank you! Sending you a private message!
Updated - I was finally able to open your letter today, and thank you so much for the awesome extra postcard of Portland. I'm going to want to hoard it for my collection. I love the style and I love Portland. :)
Comment: Thank you so much for the pretty Valentine note. And the extras too. It took 10 days to get here! Must have been pony express 😄. We had a quiet Valentine's day with a wonderful dinner at home!
Comment: Decided to start opening so I could put cards all over my tiny house walls. I love the big bird Valentine!!! 💗Thanks so much! I also love the other dog one! I needed smaller Valentine's to fill a lot of skinny spaces! 🥰 Happy Valentine's Day!
Comment: What a cool and unique pc of the Famous Watson Lake Sign Boards! I have never seen it. Yes, it’s hard to watch our pups grow old and slow down. My Katie has a lot of energy still but that gray is really coming out on her coat. Thank you.
Comment: Thank you very much, for your list of TV show favorites & the goodies. You aren't the only one, who extra tv shows to partner swap, ha! The only ones I recognize are The dark crystal: age of resistance ( Love this & 1st one too ), Outlander, The masked singer, and Once upon a time. Love all of these!
Comment: Your note is a breath of fresh air! Invigorating..we all need to boost each other to make our dreams come true. I know you will go far in your business adventures! I can read your positivity from the card! Congrats on taking the big leap!! I cheer you on!! Keep me updated and see you in the mail!!Thank you!
Comment: Thanks for the paint swatch postcard and sharing your goals for 2022. Spend less money... every time I turn around, something else is coming up. Just found out that my daughter is dancing at Disney this summer. M-O-N-E-Y!!!
Comment: Hi Marie! I don't think I've ever received one of the USPS notecards before so this one is extra-special to me! Thanks for sending some nice washi my way too. Best of luck on your resolutions!
Comment: Thank you for the goodies, the pen was so cute with the big diamond, the stationary was extra special with the panda. The Washi tape was adorable, I've never seen this type of tape. Thanks again! Luisa
Comment: What a beautiful card, Marie! I love the little townhomes, and I didn't notice till after taking a photo (check out my IG) the detail of the words "Joy", "Love" and "Hope"written on the buildings! What a sweet surprise! To answer your question, yes, I do have some goals for the New Year. I need to write them down, however. I feel it's always best to put it in writing. It gives you something to look upon through the year and to re-focus if necessary. Thank you for the Happy New Year confetti and the napkin and cute goody bag. What a fun swap to open! Happy New Year! ... Karla, 12/30
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful Christmas Cardinals. They are one of my favorite birds. Loved the poem inside. Thank you for the goodies and the Christmas zine...lots of good trivia. Happy New Year.
Comment: Thanks so much for the wonderful card and goodie bag! Wow! What a creative idea with the napkin and NY Confetti. I LOVE the card! It's going in my journal. Just love it! Happy New Year to you!
Comment: Thank you for sharing your tree and this years ornament. It is really cute. I like the idea of a new ornament every year. My daughter-in-law does something simular but most of what she gets are Hallmark ornaments.
Comment: Marie! Thanks so very much for the excellent swap! The envelope, the card - both gorgeous! I've never seen a bookmark/ruler/stencil combo and I will get a lot of use out of it! And your washi collection is mighty impressive! I love this series so much! Looking forward to the next one! Take care! XO Dana
Comment: Thank you for the nice card and note. We haven't had any measurable snow yet this season but that is okay with me. Most of our Christmas stuff starts with Thanksgiving. Our Zoo lights started the 18th but the other large displays didn't open till the day after Thanksgiving and our Christmas Lights parade is the Saturday after. enjoy your Christmas season.
Comment: Thanks for the card! Sadly- we have opted out of having a Christmas tree because we have 1 year old sibling cats who think that all ornaments are cat toys. My favorite ornaments are hanging on a garland high above kitty reach, and we have tree on out patio, outside- so we can look at it through the window. 🎅🏼
Comment: Thank you, Marie! I loved the winter scene. Yes, I'm having a wonderful holiday season so far. I was trying to be an "after Thanksgiving" person regarding decorating for Christmas, but my 12 year old daughter was so excited to get started earlier. 😊 Have a Merry Christmas! 🎄😊... Karla, 12/5
Comment: yay for snow! We got snow and it lasted only like half a day (cry!). My bestie lives up near Virginia! When I visit, it seems like the roads are taken pretty well care of. Thank you for the gorgeous card and the cute, cute tags!! Be well!
Comment: Thank you, Marie, for your postcard that arrived today. I haven't tried to keep Poinsettias year round but I might try. Georgia weather is more mild than your Minnesota weather. Maybe I can get it to live? 😊... Karla, 12/3
Comment: Marie, I'm so sorry it took me a few days to rate you. The package was on my kitchen counter and I threw my back out over the weekend...luckily, I can see my chiropractor tomorrow.
I LOVE 💜💜THE SOCKS YOU SENT! Thank you so much for sharing your quirky crate with me. That was so kind! And they are the perfect height... they won't rub on my ankle. Thank you again..wish I could give you more hearts! 💚💙💖❤🤎💛🧡🖤💜
Comment: Thank you for the cute card. I don't know what` I will do this year. Only gifts are for great grand kids. The adults get cards and a little bit of money as I can't do much as there is extra expenses this time of year with taxes on the mobile home, mid Dec, and car tags in Oct.
Comment: Thanks for the great homemade Thanksgiving card and extras! I so appreciate having you in my swaps.... You help to make them fun to do... Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.... Thanks for sharing what happens around your area.... I wish stuff like that happens around here in the Twin Cities, but alas, no.... Happy swapping...
Comment: Thank you for the card and note. Also thank you for hosting these swaps. I have a Christmas card box that is nothing but card fronts from the last several years and I am glad to be able to put them to good use. I am also starting to get in the Christmas mood but I traditionally do not decorate and put things out for Christmas until Friday and the weekend after Thanksgiving as I always looked at that as the start of the christmas season. Enjoy your Holidays and stay safe and well.
Comment: Thank you for the note and washi! Your weather sounds like our weather here! It's crazy. It's warm in the 60's and then the next day it's down into 40's as a high. Nights have been low around freezing mark. I'm surprised it hasn't snowed here yet but I know it will!
Comment: Thank you for the adorable Thanksgiving card and the cute little sticky notes. I am a Christmas fan but have a lot of Thanksgiving fans in my family so I know what you mean. There really is not a lot of movies or shows for just Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
Comment: Thank you so much, love the note card!! I'll be offering to work Thanksgiving. no family here. And I feel so happy to make sure other employees get to be with their families. I hope you have a wonderful and joyous time. Happy Holidays!! ANd thank you again!! nice washi.
Comment: Thanks Marie! What a lovely swap! Thanks for sharing the background of this series! I am so happy you came back and started it up again. It's one of my favorite series! Everything you sent is great - the extras are all so much fun and I am looking forward to putting them to use!! Take care! XO Dana
Comment: Hi Marie! Thank you very much, for the cute Halloween Ghost with pumpkin card, for the wonderful stickers & window cling ! I hope you had fun at the Apple festival & enjoyed everything apple, yum! We had our Pumpkin festival last week. We never go. Mainly because, it's so hard for my wheelchair to get around on gravel.
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely card and adorable stickers and treat bags 😊 My favorite Halloween tradition is eating mummy dogs (basically pigs in a blanket Halloween style) every Halloween night.
Comment: Hi! Just got your cool postcard! I visited House on the Rock about 15 years ago. There are some parts of that house I feel I will never forget. I especially remember the long narrow "room" and the kitchen close by. I actually have a few fuzzy pictures of the same four horsemen. Very cool to receive, thank you!
Comment: Staying home and watching spooky movies is my jam. Best part about Halloween if u ask me! Enjoy it I hope u watch a ton of movies and eat your fav candies! Happy halloween and thanks for the cute little goodies.
Comment: Hi Marie, thank you so much for hosting this swap is such a nice idea to upcycle, I love anything really that helps the environment. I do think your card is cheering me on the small victories like drinking water today hahaha. Sending my best regards from South Florida.
Comment: I have a different card of the Grand Hotel. It shows the inside with rows and rows of tables with many waiters waiting to serve. I really want to go to Mackinac Island, but this year because of the shortage of flights and rental cars, we decided to have a driving vacation. Someday!
Comment: Thank you for the Tennessee post card. I've been to Nashville in 2001 I think. My husband was driving over the road and we got stuck waiting for a load in one of the truck stops. I don't care if I ever go back again. I'm not a country music fan
Comment: What a wonderful "vintage" postcard. That skyline is iconic, and forever changed. I'm like you re: Patriot Day. Every year for the last 19 years I've worn in tribute a NYFD cap I got in NYC about a year after the attacks. I still lived in Virginia at the time, right near Langley Air Force Base. While all commercial air traffic was on stand down, I stood outside in my yard and watched the fighter jets take to the skies. I will never, ever forget that tragic day.
Comment: Very cool card!! What a cool idea. When I took a train through the desert I was amazed at how many smashed cars and other things were there. This really sums up the feel of that trip for me. THANKS for sharing! :):):)
Comment: Thank you for the so neat PC of dog puzzle! I had a Border Collie when I was a kid. I had always wanted another one. But could never find one. At least in our area anyway. I have a Pom & Chi now. My babies!
Comment: Thank you so much for your cute space/astronaut postcard, Marie <3 I like it very much :-) And oh, yes, I'm a little sad about Pluto, too. In my childhood, there was a mnemonic for the line of the planets starting from the sun. And Pluto was the most important part of it :-D
Mein (My) = Mercury; Vater (father) = Venus; erklärt (illustrates) = Earth; mir (me) = Mars; jeden (every) = Jupiter; Samstag (saturday) = Saturn; unsere (our) = Uranus; neun (nine) = Neptune; Planeten (planets) = Pluto
So, without Pluto, it's not nine planets anymore, and the mnemonic had to be changed but I can't remember what it says now... :-)
Comment: Thank you for the postcard of your pet. He look so sweet peeping out from underneath the blanket. He look like he has a black nail. My puppy has a black nail. Those are hard to gage when it’t time for a nail trim. Take care!
Comment: Marie, what a beautiful upcycled card. I love birds of all kinds... this particular bird looks like a Great Blue Heron. Possibly drawn by John James Audubon. I worked for the MA Audubon Society in high school and we sold large prints of his work. I love it!! Thank you 💚💙
Comment: Thank you for the lovely SUMMER themed planner goodies! I LOVE them and cannot wait to get June, July & August decorated in my planner!! Fantastic swap!! Love all the stickers, sticky notes, washi , the adorable pen and the stamp!!
Comment: Hello Marie,
Thank you for your 3rd lettering this series. As before, I enjoyed reading your letter and gaining more interesting knowledge on you. Thank you for your kind words you shared with regards to my surgery recovery. I didn't keep track of the number of letters I wrote in total. I just know that I wrote some really lengthy letters. I write quite a few letters regularly, but I was comfortable talking with you and the other participants. I know my letters didn't come as they should have due to my health needs. You should have Letter #2 and Letter #3 by now. I hope you enjoyed reading them. Again, Thank you for a enjoyable swap.
I look forward to more opportunities to swap with you. Until then, HAPPY SWAPPING!
The mail in and out of my state continues to be slow. Thank you for understanding and patience. I'm wondering if the mail will ever be back to where it was prior to the Pandemic.
Comment: Hello Marie,
Thank you so much for the swap items you sent me to complete the swap requirements. I am looking forward to adding your items to my collection and/or using the items in a future swap(s).
I again enjoyed reading your letter and learning more about you. The purses you talked about sound really NEAT! Your idea of a Pumpkin Pie for Thanksgiving I think is a GREAT IDEA. Your sharing of your sewing escapades sounds like me. When I was a teenager I tried the art of sewing--FRUSTRATION and not ever succeeding on the 2-3 items I tried to put together. I also was thinking that shopping is fun for you sent you dress in YOUR own style. Maybe you could come up with a title for your fashion sense. Thanks for sharing about what a Passion Planner is and how it supports you. Where can you get a Passion Planner if someone wanted to purchase one?I think people, in general, are much more cruel than people were even 5-7 years ago. I think it has become even more apparent since we all have been working to navigate this Pandemic. It is sad to see day after day.
Please know that it was a pleasure to swap with you. I do hope we have more chances to swap with one another. I enjoy Swap-bot so much, I get to create, but more importantly, I also make some friends along the way.
Colorado continues to have mail issues. Mail going out and Mail coming in continues to be slow. I appreciate your patience and understanding.
Comment: Thank you so much for the kind note and goodies. Has been very dry here, was hoping for rain tonight...Georgia has been in the high 80's and mid 90's!! Ugh, already?! We skipped spring! LOL Thank you again!
Comment: HI Marie, I am so glad your mom recovered from covid. My nephew did not have to be hospitalized but he was very sick last July but he also recovered. Thanks for your thoughts and the post card.
Comment: Thank you so much for another nice letter. :) And for the playing cards - you seem to get a lot of them in the mail. :) The one design, like of an elf, reminds me of a set we had at my uncle's cabin. The oddest things always ended up there! :) Thank you for the letter & cards. :)
Comment: Thanks for the Lucky Charms postcard. I'm not sure when I had them last, it may have been when my son was younger. So at least over a decade ago. Idk. That's funny how your coworker handled the stale Christmas marshmallows. Thanks for the card and writing about your experience. ~ Z
Comment: Hi Marie,
Thank you so much for the swap you completed and then sent to me. The item(s) you sent me for the swap is/are GREAT!. I really enjoy receiving new items that I can use in future swaps or some other creative project(s) OR Add your project to one of My Collections.
I apologize for taking extra time in getting your rating done for this swap. I very much appreciate your completion of this swap and getting it off to me in a timely manner.
Colorado is still having problems with the mail. Mail going in and out of Colorado is continuing to be an issue. So, until this issue is resolved, please Be Patient!
Thank you for the stickers you sent along as extras.
Your Swap-bot Partner,
Comment: Marie you are a gem! I was very happy with everything you sent, and have already used some of it for a couple of other cards I sent out. For everyone else - I would swap with Marie again without hesitation. The post office lost her first envelope and I never got it. After talking to her about it, she sent out a second envelope, and I got that one! 10 out of 10 if I could! If the other one ever shows up I'll let you know! Best wishes, Beth
Response: So glad you got this one and were able to use it.
Comment: Thanks so much for the awesome chunk! I'd never seen the Cheetos flavored Mac & Cheese before so this really caught me by surprise. What an interesting concept, I'm glad to hear your husband loved it! I just might have to give it a try! :D
Comment: Thanks for setting up this swap! I think it allows for so much more diversity in terms of cards received! I love Spring, but I get crazy allergies! I don't do much outdoor gardening but my indoor houseplant collection keeps growing (both in number and in size) much to my delight!
All the best,
Comment: Great Lemonade Stand Twinkie chuck! You're braver than I am...I don't like to try the new flavors of products as I feel they always seem to fall short of the original. I'm a Twinkie fan, but Oatmeal Cream Pies/Nutty Buddies/Star Crunch are my favorites. Best, Rick
Comment: Thank you for the cool New York postcard! :) New York is such a cool city. I hope you get the chance to go there sometime! (You know, I think most people who live in New York are scared to drive there! That's what subways and taxis are for! haha)
Comment: Thanks for the Lady Liberty postcard. I have been to NYC. Because we got on the ferry to New Jersey and not the Statue of Liberty ferry, we missed our tour of the the statue. I hope to go back one day.
Comment: HI Marie I would love to give so many more hearts!! I really love this card!! The egg hunt with your dog sounds so fun!! My cat loves to play with the plastic Easter eggs. Thanks for the wonderful extras also!! Happy Easter!!
Comment: Thank you so much for the Easter Card and all the little goodies! You were supposed to write 3 to 5 sentences on the card to make it a little more personal. If that had been done would have gotten a heart from me! Hugs + Prayers
Response: Oops! I've sent so many Easter cards I think I just got mixed up. Thank you for your understanding however and I am glad you love your goodies.
Comment: Thanks so much for the Pigeon Forge PC- we have visited that area a few times now, as we love the Smokies! Usually we rent a cabin in the mountains, but have hit a tourist trap or two in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg!
Comment: Thanks for the items. They did not arrived in time for St. Patrick's Day, which was the purpose of the swap. This swapper marked as sent Mar 8. The swap deadline was Mar 9. On Mar 12, she contacted me to let me know she sent her partner to the post office to send but he did not complete the mission, leaving the items in his car and finding them the next week. Therefore, my package was shipped late on Mar 12 and did not arrive to me until Mar 18. Tracking # 9500 1150 1766 1071 7812 68. While I understand things happen and I also have a partner who doesn't always mail when asked, I know I have to take personal responsibility to follow-up, make sure the task was completed and get the receipt/tracking number.
Comment: Thank you for the bunny and egg card. Your Easter egg hunt for your dog is so unique and cool. I don't have any pets or I would do that too. Thanks for the stickers and washi, very thoughtful of you
Comment: Hi Marie! 👋 Thank you for the beautiful fairy 🧚♂️ postcard & quote. So sweet. Just be careful with addresses, bc you wrote MA instead of MD & left off the word “Park” for my town. But it still got to me in days, which is a credit to our USPS. 💌📬 Take care 🤗
Comment: My card has yet to show up but I know the PO is having lots of issues. Perhaps it will still show up. Perhaps it's lost somewhere in the wilds. Neither is your fault so I will go ahead and leave your rating. I'm sure it was a fabulous card 8)
Comment: Thank you for hosting this swap. It's always one of my favorites. :) Thank you too, for the nice note and daffodil stickers. I was looking for something to make Spring cards for an organization I'm sending too. I hope you get some warm weather soon. I'm so ready for sunshine and warm! :)
Comment: Well, I'll have to see what I can do with this one. I dislike llama's....I knew someone that owned them, they smell awful! I just can't get over smell...,lol. Maybe I can plug my nose and do a page.....
Comment: Hi Marie! Please forgive me for my late rating for this swap from last Fall. You were looking forward to Halloween items and hoping things were normal by then. How is normalcy now? What's going on in Wisconsin? Thank you for the corn fritters recipe. I think I'm going to actually try that! 😊
Comment: Hiya! Happy (early) Valentine's Day! I'll be opening my cards on Feb. 14th. :3 Thank you for the wonderful happy mail and I'm looking forward to opening my beautiful card. Take care and much love!!!
Comment: Thanks for sharing these five different types of items! I didn’t know Kwik Trip made playing cards—these will be great for sharing washi and building Franken-decks! And hand sanitizer is always welcome, even though there’s a Packers logo on it. (Go Bears!) =P Just kidding, it’s great and will absolutely be put to use. Thanks again!
Comment: Out of curiosity I went to the World Wide Web & realized Jennifer’s Americana theatre is still around in Branson. The number is the same still too. I love love the stamp too. Thank you so much.
Comment: Thank you for the card and paper and word search (love doing them). I am starting to organize my stash of everything; so that I can actually use my desk. Goals: read more, say no more, and read through the Bible in one year. I hope that you have a wonderful day.
Comment: I'm sorry your first pin-up contest was canceled. That sounds like it would have been a lot of fun! I bought fabric to make masks when I thought I'd be back to school in person, but ended up being approved for teach from home, so I never made any either (I was given the ones I had). And then I found out my job is being eliminated. Sigh. This year has to be better, right?
Comment: Warm Winter Greetings,
Thank you for the Christmas card, and tags.
I've been away from home since after Thanksgiving & it was like Christmas morning when I opened all my swaps since them.
a very Happy New Year to you!
Comment: Thank you so much for sending me a postcard! I apologize for the delay in rating. Thanks for sharing your answers with me, and also I LOVE the lily postcard you chose for me. I hope you and your loved ones are having a healthy and happy holiday season!
Comment: Hi Marie,
Thank you so much for the snowmen postcard you sent me for this swap. Snowmen are one of my favorite things about this time of year and winter. I appreciate your message as well as I kept all 4 PCs and read each message each day.
Have a wonderful Holiday filled with wishes fulfilled, joy, and love.
I hope that we have future chances to swap with you. Until we meet again along the Swap-bot trail, Happy Swapping!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful Opryland postcard. So pretty! We are going to go 'light lookin' as our local weatherman says. We've missed a few Christmas' so it will be fun to go this year. Take care!
Comment: Love all the autumn stuff you’ve sent! Especially the recipe cards and the stickers! I also especially loved the fake autumn leaves, living in Florida i miss the falling color changing leaves and hearing crunching when I walk. It was nice to have that bit of autumn.
Comment: It made me really happy to hear about how this painting reminds you of your friendship :) Also I recommend watching the movie "At Eternity's Gate", Its one of my favorite movies about his life! Loved the van gogh letter set you used too!!
Comment: Hi Marie! I just love this swap! It is so much fun!! I'm a big grab bag fan and this is just as much fun as buying a grab bag!! Thank you for all the wonderful supplies in this box. My daughter (who is an artist, like a real one doing it as a living) and I had so much fun going through all the things and talking about what we could do with it! Happy Fall!
Comment: Oh my gosh, what an epic box, thank you! I'm OBSESSED with the beads you sent me! I love to make charms and you sent me so many fun pink beads, thank you! The big glitter butterflies are so awesome, I love the straws and washi tape. Wow, I'm still going through it all - the vintage inspired notepad is so pretty! Thanks so much for your kindness and generosity :)
Comment: Marie, i received the resend.. thank you. love the notecard you used and the extras are nice too. I really like the deco book... right now everyone can use the words of inspiration. Have a great day!
Comment: Thank you for the neat Ellis Island postcard. You are right in regards to the interesting history behind the immigrants coming to America. I would love to track down my family history through there one day. Take care :)
Comment: I think it changes up our circumstances!! Like you might not be very Feely before hubs and kids. but then once you purchase a fam (HEHE) you become much more in touch with emotion. I like your take on it!!
Comment: Pretty card and washi, thanks! I do know the Minimalists - I haven't listened to them in a while, though. Although I appreciate their goal, they get a bit on my nerves :-) Yay to you for working on your goals!
Comment: What a fun swap. I love the ideas of colors. Sometimes it's hard to decide what to add to a swap, and a theme just makes it easy and fun. I loved all the goodies. THANK YOU!. It was such a joy to receive and open.
Comment: What a box. Thank you so much for such a great selection. Your packing is amazing I could not get it all back in the way it came out. I haven't seen a pom ppm maker in years. I think I will keep it for my granddaughter. Thanks again.
Comment: Thank you for the great pictures. The kitten is so cute, and the fountain in front of Ceasars Palace in Las Vegas brings back many great memories of trips in the 90's and early 2000's with my husband.
Comment: I received your lovely package of letters! I opened the first one and will enjoy opening up every so often! I will keep them for the days I don't get mail! I know I will enjoy them from the first day one! I wasn't sure when I rate but thought I don't want to forget! I also want to take my time reading and not rushing this swap! Thank you for all the time you put into it!
Comment: Yes, it was good to see you in my mailbox. I can always use washi tape samples for decorating here and there. Thank you so much. I am sure, a lot of people must be expressing how thankful they are for you right now (working thru this pandemic). I know I tell all workers thank you during this time. Stay safe and hopefully we can all pull thru this together.
Comment: Thank you very much for the beautiful Tigers PC. Have I seen the Tiger King? No, Even though I love tigers, I don't love media on stuff like that. Just not my thing. I'm so sick of this Covid19 & wish it would end! As i'm so tired of being inside. PA. is getting so bad lately, with well over 32,000 confirmed cases & over 1,000 deaths & no surviving it. Well,You have a great day & keep safe.
Comment: Thank you for your fun letter. I don't care for consol games myself but I love playing games on the computer. Perhaps try some of those instead. I hope you are having a blast getting some sewing projects in these days. Hope, Health and Happiness to you and yours!
Comment: This card made me laugh! So funny! An ice skating flamingo! Reminds me of the decorated saguaros we send from AZ! This had to have been from someone in FL, right? Thanks for the nice note, too! Happy Holidays!
Comment: Thank you! Yes, we do have flowers blooming now down here. Our gardens tend to be more wild and tropical in feel than what I think of as more traditional flower beds up north. We're starting to move out of spring and into summer with temps in the 90's and afternoon thunderstorms, our typical summer weather pattern. Take care! See you in the next round! :-)
Comment: A winter storm? That's horrible! We did get some colder weather here - but haven't really had any snow this year. Congratulations on your graduation! I worked in banking for several years and actually enjoyed it. You've done the write on challenge before?! I've never heard of it before - but it has definitely been a challenge. :) Hope you make it through all 30!! Happy Swapping!
Comment: Thank you for the cute card and goodies, Marie! It was snowy for too long here in NE Ohio too, but today is a really beautiful spring day. My dog is itching for a nice long walk too, and today might be his lucky day! 🌞
Comment: Thank you for the card and goodies! You're right this taste of spring has been amazing! I'm looking forward to the green plants too. The animals are returning here as of this week! There are so many eagles back in the area and it's wonderful!
Comment: Thanks for resending! The note card made me smile and I can always use washi tape samples! I hope your area hasn't seen the flooding that other Wisconsin and midwest areas have seen! Be safe! I hope spring really is right around the corner!
Comment: Thank you for sharing your list. You don't celebrate your birthday? at all or you just don't make a party? I make a cake every year. Even if I only celebrate with my son. Only I don't use candles anymore, because I do not count my years anymore ;)
Response: I'm usually on vacation so we have a dinner out, but its not like when I was a kid and everyone came over with presents and we ate cake.
Comment: Love this PC. Reminds me of the Grand Hotel on Mackanic Island, MI I want to eat at this place on the PC Lucky me to get you as my partner else I would have missed this great PC and learning of this bucket list place. The summary on the PC was astounding 4,800 served in a single day WOW. I will cherish this PC Pleasure to swap with you
Response: So funny you say that because I went to the Grand Hotel on the same trip! We spent a few days in Frankenmuth and a few days in Mackinaw City including one day on the island!
Comment: Wow! This is my first time doing one of these de-stash swaps & i wasn't really sure what to do or expect but you stuffed that box with lots of cool goodies!! I appreciate what you took the time to send. Thanks a bunch!!
Comment: I love lemurs!!! Exotics aren't illegal in every state! I have three of my own exotics!! You can own anything in Texas though, even big cats, which I find deplorable, but Texas doesn't step on anybody's rights.
Comment: Thank you for the Somewhere in Time card! How interesting that you got it where the film was made, as a film buff I love the idea! Too bad nothing remarkable has been made at my shores so there are no cards to celebrate that :D
Comment: Thank for you the pretty “Bee Happy” postcard:) You day you’d sleep with an extra hour. I said I’d use that extra hour to drive down to the beach each day. In reality I’m retired so sleeping and napping aren’t so much of an issue anymore BUT if I were still working I’d want that hour to sleep! Happy Swaps
Comment: Hi Marie, thanks for the decos! The envelope came in one of those 'we care' postal bags, but luckily the 2 decos were inside but nothing else. I identified it to this swap with your name and the fact that there was a birthday party deco in there! ha ha
Comment: Thanks for the Mackinac Island card, Marie! My husband and I were planning a Michigan lighthouse trip but didn't get it planned well enough in advance. Oh well, there's always next year! That is cool that there still is no automobile traffic there.
Comment: Cool PC... we used to have a paddleboat cruise on a nearby lake but now all they have is pontoon party boat... but it's still fun! Never heard of Frankenmuth, will have to read up on it! Thank you!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful Michigan postcard.. we have moved to Houston a couple of months back after staying in Michigan for 3+ years! Mackinaw Island is indeed beautiful and love the fudge there! Sending you love and joy!
Comment: Thank you for the pc you sent me, I love it!! I’ve never heard of the city there and that sounds like a great place to visit! I went to Germany in 2000 and visiting this city would be like going back to Germany 🇩🇪. 😊❤️
Comment: Thank you Marie, the letter arrived very fast. It was very nice reading, it seems you had fun time. Thanks for the postcard and brochures. The photos are very pretty!
P.S. : Fun fact: I have also send you a napkin :D
Comment: Ha Ha! Your PC was VERY funny! I love sexist jokes and humor. I used to work almost exclusively with men and we tended to joke and laugh all day! Now I work with women mostly (ie: nursing) and none of them seem to know how to laugh at a joke any more! Thanks for the laugh! Needed it!
Comment: Ha Ha! You made me laugh tonight! Especially with your little drawing! Maybe he was just having a "bad hair day" and didn't want to world to seem him like that! OR... maybe... he was trying to "ape" the Elvis stamp! Thank you!
Comment: Ha Ha Ha!!! Just like a man!! I love this swap category but only have one more "inappropriate" PC; I will have to find me some more b/c I just love what I get in the mail from all you guys! Thank you!
Comment: Thank you!!! Nothing like a little IG love. I am so sporadic with my Postcrossing because of the postage. I'll go on spurts of sending, but I hardly send the max that I can because that's over 20.00!!!
Comment: I had a quite 4th. It was too hot for me to go to the Go Fourth at the lake close to my home. One of these years I will go again if it is not so muggy with the heat. They have craft booths, food trucks, car show, Blues fest, Skiing exhibition on the lake and end it all off with 25 minute fireworks show. The neighbors shot off lots of fireworks but I also did not watch it as the smoke from it bothers my breathing. Actually I watched 2 shows on TV, The Capital fireworks and music also the Macys New York show. best way to watch. No bugs no smoke and no crowds.
Comment: YES! I love zebras as well. Their stripes/patterns are so unique as is their "braying!" Haha! Yeah, us humans are not half as interesting looking as some of the other animals out there. :) Happy Swapping!
Comment: Thank you Marie for the Deco Book you sent to me for the swap. Its interesting challenge to decorate a page as its "Monochromatic." I enjoy these challenges & decorating page in the Deco Books. Happy Spring!
Comment: Thanks for the great letter. I'm glad you didn't accost the woman at JoAnn's. hahaha! No, I have never done the letter challenge & I certainly don't mind you using my swap to further your progress. I'm glad you joined in & it was great swapping with you :)
Comment: Hello again! I did hear that your area got another blizzard - I had one over to send me a jar of snow (I declined) then mother nature sent us a storm! We got 36 hours of snow, rain, slush, freezing rain, & more snow! Oh, and wind. :/ hope you were able to dig out ok. Guess iI you have accepted the jar of snow - maybe we could have avoided all that! Ha!
Comment: It still amazes me that it is snowing in parts of America. It is 8:45 pm and 74 degrees here in Florida - Crazy! No, I don't garden at all. I've never been much for that kind of thing, but I hope you get a chance to do it soon.
Comment: Thanks for your newsy letter! I wish you luck with the Write On party - sounds awesome, and wish I could go! I hope you don't feel like ordering the pack was a waste. Their stuff is so cute I considered ordering some myself. I held back, and have since bought cards and stationery at Michaels, which is sort of unlike me, but I'm a sucker for a sale and cute motifs! It is not spring here yet - we had some snow melting weather and then more snow last Friday. I am considering gardening for the first time, but my upcoming travel schedule may make it difficult. Good luck with your zucchini decision!!!
Comment: What a beautiful card! Thank you and thanks also for the very nice stickers! This year our church is doing Holy Week and Easter with the church next door; we have a good relationship with each other. Unfortunately, our family will miss Holy Week as we will be at our son's house in Indiana for a late birthday party. Our daughter from CA will be with us, so at least the family will be together. We hope to make it back home to go to our church on Easter Sunday. We usually have an easy Sunday dinner - haven't really planned it yet, though! The Easter season is so solemn leading up to Easter Sunday, but so joyous on Easter Sunday! We went to Israel to see the sights. Yes, the tomb is empty!
Comment: Thank you so much! The envie looks like it had a fight with the post office, haha. But thank you so much for the rubber stamps ! I'm a noob stamper but now I have a reason to get more supplies. xoox
Comment: I think that is a very good motto for the year. YOU are the only one you can make change and you are the only one that you can make do things. Sure it's nice when others help, but you can never make them. Thanks for the stickers.
Comment: Thank you so much for the darling doggie card! Kids bring so much joy into Christmas, how could anyone say they just bring stress. We got to meet our youngest great-grand yesterday. He's 6 months old so he had to have help opening his gift from me. He immediately dumped the toy and proceeded to eat the packaging. LOL!
Happy New Year!
Comment: Hi there Marie! I got your resend and thank you so very much! I love the Glittery Reindeer card so much! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! I sure did! But also, exhausting too. At least, i was surrounded by 4 of 5 of my loving children and my grands! Thank you also, for the holiday note paper and most of all, for having my swap! Happy New year Marie!
Comment: Thank you for the resend. :) Cute! You and I both learned to sew early in life. I too have sewn lots of clothes including my wedding dress and prom dress, costumes for my kids and now Grandaughters, quilts and everything inbetween! Have a happy new year!
Comment: Dear Marie,
Thank you very much for your lovely Christmas card! I hope you will have a beautiful Christmas time with all your beloved ones! :-)
Sending you my best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Comment: I love hearing about Christmas traditions from other places. Our yearly event here is one of our parks lights all of the trees up and you drive through it. I haven't done it in a while since my kids have grown. This might be the year to do it again.
