Comment: I am rating a 3 because I did not receive mail art. I did receive an envelope with goodies inside with one scribble drawing on the outside, but as I made very clear in the swap description the mail art for this swap needed to have effort put into it and cover the envelope. What I got did not meet the swap requirements. I contacted Deb to let her know that I would be rating down because of this reason, so that if she had a reason or wanted to try again to raise the rating that could be done. Instead of suggesting any of this, she said that I was attacking her art and that having to choose a sliver sharpie to draw on a blue envelope was a lot of effort. She continued to say how insulted and disgusted she was with me instead of at all acknowledging what I had told her. Instead she focused on constantly calling me judgmental, a poor hostess, and that I should be shameful. I was honestly shocked by her very immature responses and fully regret allowing her to be part of my swap because of the way she acted. While she tried hard to make me feel guilty for contacting her about this swap, I do not. Because she did not meet the requirements and then verbally attacked me and pushed all blame on me. Acting as she did is very inappropriate and I could suggest to anyone hosting a swap similar to this one, if she attempts to join in think twice about allowing it. I sincerely hope you have an attitude change and can enjoy swaps once more without having to tear down others if you mess up. UPDATE: The snowman was NOT colored in. The majority of the envelope was NOT decorated. I do not care if you chose to draw instead of anything else, I care about how it was executed. Your envelope did not meet the requirements. I have given out two 3 ratings since 2011 and this is one of them. I do not believe that you need to be an artist to do mailart but you do need time and effort. I am sorry that you are so angry, but I am not going to rate you higher just because you lash out at me. I do agree that swapping should be fun not mean. It is not fun to receive a swap that does not meet requirements and it is mean the way that you spoke to me in the messages. So please look in the mirror instead of this constant pointing fingers at everything else. IF ANY MAILART HOSTS FEEL UNEASY: feel free to message me and request pictures of the envelope.
